What's difference between green and blue one?

Thank you for your inquiry, the green version has longer service life than the blue version. The blue version can filter 5000 gallons of water, while the green version can filter 10000 gallons of water.

Is this an universal filter and will  fit any fridge?

What nsf standards does it pass?

nsf standards 42, 53 & 401???

That is something I can't answer.  I am not knowledgeable in the NSF standards.  I bought this because it looked like it would work and was easy to install.

Question 4

Installed, flushed carbon particles for 5 minutes.  Now, the filter feels heavy, and outflow has reduced to a drip.  What is wrong?

I really don't know--almost sounds like you have some particles that are plugging your 1/4 inch line.  You might have to disconnect the 1/4" line and see if it is plugged (run some air or something through it or if it is short just blow it out.  Also, you might try shaking the filter itself.  Some particles might be plugging the outlet side.  Please note that I bought my filter to place under the sink to filter the water going to my fridge.  I use it more as a backup to my fridge filter.  I am no expert--I bought this because it sounded like it would work.  So far it has.
