Good quality and good size

I guess when I first went to order this item I thought it was bigger. I was surprised that it was smaller than I had planned. It still worked out but only for smaller items. I bought this to use in my new camper but now I just keep it home and use it for fruit and small items. They are sturdy and worth it but only for smaller items.

Perfect for washing fruit and veggies. Would not use for straining something in hot or boiling water.

I bought a small (5") version of this for $2 at an Asian food store back in the 1980s. The basket wore out a couple years ago, and I've been looking for a replacement. Finally! This is one of the most frequently used items in the kitchen. The basket on the new one is sturdier than the old one, so it will probably last another 40 years.

Nice quality but small.

2-piece small colanders are useful for small batches of fruit, vegetables etc. This type of colanders are perfect for cleaning, soaking, drying various ingredients for cooking. I highly recommend this.
