Reebok Squat rack will do the job for a home gym
If you are looking to bench or squat in excess of 400 lbs, this might not be the most adequate squat rack. That said, for a home gym application, this rack is a great value. Simple design, EZ assembly, its sturdy, it doesn't take a whole bunch of space, it has safety catches in case you need them. Plus it also gets style points with the red hooks and catches and the black arms and base. The J hooks are pretty solid and give me confidence to go heavy. Heavy is relative and for me is about 300 lbs on squats and less than that on bench. But the squat rack is well made with quality materials and will handle all my needs for home work outs. All in All, this is a quality product for good price and should be considered for any home gym application.

Crooked Upright, Product Returned
Bottom Line: I should have read the Amazon customer reviews, I would have saved a lot of heartache. After assembly, I realized that the right upright was very crooked. That's when the pain began. Unable to make it right with CAP Barbell. Worked with Amazon Returns to just return the whole thing for a refund.Lessons learned:1. This is not a Reebok product. It is a CAP product. Reebok licenses the name, but it is a CAP Barbell manufacture. I should have done more research.2. CAP has limited customer service for returns, repairs, or parts. Believe me, you don't want to have to go through this. CAP ultimately said they could get me a new upright in 60-90 days with 2-3 weeks for delivery afterwards. Obviously, I passed.3. Amazon Returns is rock-solid as always. After explaining my predicament to an Amazon customer service agent, I was granted permission to return the product for a refund.4. Save packing material. I threw everything away and had to go to Home Depot and buy boxes and packing material for the return. Can't recoup those costs.Overall, a regrettable experience. I hope never to make this kind of mistake again.

Overrated
This rack is overrated, and I'm surprised it gets such good reviews here. You should know that despite the Reebok name, it's manufactured by CAP Barbell, which has a reputation for building garbage.First, I would not be confident going heavy on this rack. I load up about 225 and the rack easily sways side to side. If you don't drill the rack into your floor and happen to bump the uprights when re-racking, the entire rack tips up in the air. It won't collapse (probably), but someone who lifts more than me would not be comfortable using this.Second, one of the four polygonal support plates was incorrectly drilled (terribly) when I received the item. This meant I could not bolt it through the upright and attach it to the support plate on the other side, because they weren't even close to matching. When I contacted the manufacturer, they demanded a ton of details and photos (which I provided them), then they proceeded to mail me the wrong part which was not even a part of this rack. Upon further admonishment they eventually sent me the right one, and Amazon was very good about helping to make this right, but in the end it meant a few weeks of being unable to use the rack due to the incompetence of CAP Barbell.Overall, this rack deserves a 3, but due to their poor customer service and the grossly overrated average here, I'm giving it a 2. If you need a cheap rack and you don't lift very much, this will get the job done, but if you are buying a long-term piece of equipment I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Four Stars
Works as expected. A little shaky, but I'm not lifting crazy heavy weight.

Well constructed and perfect for a home gym
Perfect for a home gym. Quick and easy to put together. The product feels sturdy and stable, have not put any major weight on it yet, I think the material is well constructed.

Great rack, even better if combined with a bench.
This is a nice squat rack for home use. It also works well when combined with a bench and used as a bench press rack or for military presses. It is sturdy, built tough, and seems like it will last. It was not built precisely though, and lost a star on the rating due to needing to be bent to fit in a few spots and a couple holes needing to be reamed open a bit. Part of the fitting was due to the very thick coating, and part was just sloppy alignment while pieces were welded at the factory. The rack is very stable. I use it with a 7' bar without trouble. I do not have 500 pounds of weights to put on it, but the 500 pound rating seems correct by my estimation. The supports and hooks are sturdy and feel like they will catch the bar if dropped, I am not concerned with the rack failing during use or if an accidental slip or drop were to happen.I easily recommend this for a home gym.

I love this squat rack
I love this squat rack. Especially for the price. My garage is lower/shorter than most, so this was a perfect fit under 80 inches.

Excellent quality
Excellent piece of equipment. Heavy duty, well made, good design. Can handle more than I'll be putting to it. (Rated at 500lbs... I think)Mine was delivered by UPS, and looked like it was transferred through a war zone.Box was handled so roughly that there are deep scratches through the powder coating, the blister pack of hardware was actually crushed open (had to go to hardware store for 4 #10 washers)The Minor inconvenience of having to get a few simple pieces was not a big deal for me , and as far as the scratches... It's gym equipment, so I'll be banging and scratching it up eventually.I called for service and they were spot on about sending missing pieces.I was too pumped up to wait for a mailing of parts, so just opted to get washers on my own.(Custom service was excellent, I just chose not to use it, being impatient)
