Does this protect the screen also?

No. Not directly. Across the top and bottom the case is above the plane of the screen and that's about it.

How many mm space does the front lip provide?

I'm not sure exactly, but I was able to comfortably fit a 0.22mm tempered glass screen protector with it.

how do you get this cover on a galaxy s7. It appears to be to small????

The phone slides in from the front. It's easy to fit onto the phone and stays in place fine.

what is the little round thing on the back of the phone? any phone. you can put it between your finger

so the camera lens on the back of the camera can see through the protective case
