SPECTACULAR! Buy NOW!!
Wow does not suffice! Incredible information and magnificent videography. By far the best nature video I have EVER seen. I about beg for an encore at the end of each one; it is that riveting.Mother Nature is spectacular. They are able to film in very remote locations without disturbing the wildlife because of new improved technology. Animals don't scatter due to helicopter noise because they are able to film far enough away with new technology. The multitude of animals stay put so that you get an up close (very close, down to eye lashes) view of how nature works in an undisturbed ecosystem.

Amazing AV quality!
It great, but I now have Plex and stream directly from my home, even when I'm away. Anyway, it's a great alternative if you don't wanna carry DVD's and such with you while going on trips.

Beautiful picture, astounding audio!
I have upgraded my home entertainment system to UHD with home theater. On my 75" Sony, this series was incredible. As close to reference quality visual image as you can get. What I didn't expect was the audio quality to be so pronounced. David's voice comes through strongly and clear in the center channel. Be sure to use the Atmos audio option if you have the set up for it!Beautiful 5 episode series worth every penny. David Attenburough is a absolute treasure and makes the narration unparalleled. My boys, 4 and 3, couldn't get enough of watching it!

Immaculate 4K Video/Audio Infotainment
There really is nothing quite like a BBC documentary filmed with bleeding edge A/V equipment narrated by the GOAT Sir David Attenborough. The quality of these programs (Dynasties, Planet Earth, Blue Planet, etc.) almost borders on sensory overload (in the BEST way) when paired with the correct equipment to view it. Both informational and entertaining, A Perfect Planet touches on melancholic issues that humans have brought about on our home, and encourages change that benefits on life on the planet. Please support BBC's immaculate programming so that we can continue to explore places no civilization has had the privilege to come this close to in this amount of detail before.

Mesmerizingly beautiful
I've seen several BBC nature series with David Attenborough over the years, but none has been more beautiful than this one. The use of drone photography opens up new perspectives on nature, and the incredible tenacity of film crews on the ground brings us special footage, indeed. Very absorbing series, too. Sometimes nature series will leave me a bit bored and I'll nod off. Not with this one. It was so engaging, and I became absorbed in each episode. The final ep. was quite sobering, but there is no escaping discussion of our threat to the "perfect planet"; to ignore climate change is to betray the planet. This discussion is not didactic or political, but scientific. It is also highly important. So glad I bought this!

Another quality imagery disc
Another "Planet" series from the Beeb means three things: the unparalleled presence of Attenborough, flawless camerawork of amazing things and a solemn acknowledgement of where it could all be going. Perfect Planet doesn't disappoint on any of these counts and shows our planet in remarkable form, focusing on five of the elemental forces that shape the realities of life all over the globe. Each one is remarkable, and alive with footage of things I've never before seen in glorious detail - frogs unfreezing, ants coalescing, hordes of newborn crabs coursing over stones. Shot across several years and many countries and assembled with flawless care during the pandemic (Sir David recorded the voiceover in his duvet-bedecked dining room) it easily matches up to the grandeur and weight of the earlier entries in the series.A Perfect Planet is perhaps most notable for switching up the format of the show in the final "Humans" episode and becoming somewhat of an investigative piece about the stark causes and hard solutions facing the Earth - necessary and not without optimism but does lean a little hard on previously aired footage from the other episodes which makes it stick out somewhat and feel more like an "extra" than an equal installment. We live in hope that these cautionary tales seem quaint and dated in the future and our planet can edge closer to perfection.

Beautiful nature video
I haven't gotten one David Attenborough nature video that I didn't like. There are some parts that are hard to watch because it shows the effect that humans are having on our environment, but it is important and informative. Once again, the videography does not disappoint. I would recommend.
