Often called "Half-teeth" these are fragments of teeth from the prehistoric shark Megalodon. Each box contains 5 pieces that are 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches long. These are a good assortment of teeth and some in each box will still have the serrated edges on one side of the tooth - very neat! These teeth are ethically collected in South Carolina. Whole teeth cost hundreds of dollars each so these are a fun and economical way to own real Megalodon fossil teeth without the high cost. Quality Mantis Minerals brand product. The label card has information on the back and inside on Megalodon and how the fossils are found - including a visual of how large the shark was compared to a couple of the well known modern sharks.
