Excellent sewing machine
Received last week and it was so useful to repair a quilt for a friend, made the job much easier. Many useful features at the touch of a button, other items easily found and put to use. Got this for great price and I will get much use from it. Update on July 6, 2023 - My new sewing machine is now out of order. It powers on, but ANY button you touch results in a beep. I have attempted to contact Juki but had to leave a message with tech support. So at this point I have no idea what may come about. Funny how easy to buy, but getting support is always the issue. Update on July 8, 2023 - I still have not heard back from Juki tech support. I have left message to return call, but so far nothing. July 10, 2023 - Made contact with Juki tech support and the man was extremely good and very nice and walked me through correcting the issue. I very happy.

No power
A lot better machine out there for a lot less money. I ordered this machine 5 times from amazon before one was delivered. Strange , never happened before. Be on the way with tracking and then go into a black hole never to be heard from again. Amazon always refunded money. In this waiting process I bought a Janome Mod 50. Great machine. LCD screen makes sense on how to control machine, more room around needle area for your hands. Not near enough power. Have to hand wheel through flat felt seams on denim hems. Reviews for the juki HLZ-80hp said it had a very powerful motor. It does not. Maybe not as good as the Janome or certainly no better. Juki had more complicated LCD screen and controls, A needle threader that is the worst I have ever seen. I am not saying the juki is junk but I bought the Janome for half the price of the Juki and feel like it is a better machine. I do not understand why some body does not put a powerful motor in this class of sewing machine. 1200 watt motors are common in industrial machines , 100 watt motors are almost impossible to find in home machines. Lots of room between those two numbers.

High Marks from a returning/beginner sewist.
The Juki brand was recommended to me by a friend who is a professional fashion designer. This machine is very impressive with the options it offers and the ease of use, even for someone returning to home sewing after a long hiatus. Easy to follow video instructions are included along with the written booklet in 3 languages.

Great for basic sewing, not lettering
The lettering is not nice at all, it’s not consistent in size or clarity. The rest of the functions are great for basic sewing and beginners, I am having my daughters use the machine to learn on.

If the product is used
The company selling this product on amazon misrepresented this product. This product is not working well, we called Juki support and they said the machine is used. This machine is listed new on amazon.

This JUKI is a keeper!
I tried several different brands unsuccessfully... within the first 3 minutes of sewing on this JUKI I knew my search was over. The machine is intuitive sewing over bumps & variegated fabric levels. This ones a keeper!

This is okay but I received a lemon.
I feel like need to leave my review because it's hard to find HZL-80HP review. I used many different sewing machines so far including industrial machines so I was looking for sub-sewing machine and I was looking for very specific functions such as - adjustable presser foot pressure, bar-tack, button holes, free arm, zigzag stitch, front loading bobbin, monogram, mechanical one instead of computer one. Those were what I really wanted however I couldn't find it so I checked all other different sewing machine spec, reviews as well as price. I felt Juki HZL-80HP was the most similar one I was looking for and I actually checked other countries blog reviews and it looked like people like it. Even though there are not enough reviews in Amazon, I trust Amazon and Juki. So, I purchased one. On the day the sewing machine arrived, I started checking the quality. Speed was okay. Quality was okay except for some jamming at the bobbin. It happened 3 times while I was checking the machine. I don't think 'the jamming was because of me. Button holes, zigzag - okay. Monogram - not so good and I felt I wouldn't use it anymore. I didn't try memory function so I don't know how it will do. Bartack - not bad. Actually I liked it. Eyelet - it wasn't eyelet at all. It was more like alphabet "e" or spiral shape. I think this was maybe sewing machine program error because I checked another countries' blogs eyelet review and it looked very fine except for mine. So, I knew, I received a defect one. I finally decided return this one on the same day I received it. I was worried if I had any trouble to return this machine however returning sewing machine was really simple and easy.
