Works pretty well. The unit works as described and is very useful. Feels lightweight and cheap, does not feel very durable , but is very lightweight. It works for quite a few types of batteries, so check the dial if there is any you want in particular. You can do the math if you have batteries supported, e.g. if they are an easy fraction of the voltage of any of the included battery types. Gets the job done, 6 months later I use it all the time.

I got fed-up with the cheapo battery testers which read inconsistently and vary from tester to tester but couldn't justify buying the ZTS MBT-1 Multi Battery Tester (£44 plus an extortionate £21 delivery) despite the rave reviews! The Gb-gardner Bender seems well made and gives consistent readings. A little care is required when interpreting the reading, but that seems to be par for the course. Choose your supplier carefully - I paid £12.45 with FREE deliver (surprising, since it came from the USA) but it's also on Amazon at total costs of £31 & £34.

What I like best about this device is that it can handle everything including AAA, AA, C, D, N, button cell, CR123 (3V Lithium), 6V, 9V, 12V, 15V and even 22.5V batteries yet doesn’t require any batteries to power itself like a multimeter does. As such, I don’t have to worry about any battery leakage after long-term storage between uses. And the two permanently attached test leads also come in handy, as does the built-in retractable stand on its back.
