Cable reinforcements
Sugru moldable rubber Used for cable reinforcements many times before. Quality is fine. The durability of the final product is fine. It's very easy to use. You can't complain about it providing you follow the instructions. Keep it in the fridge when sealed and it will last a little longer. It goes off when open after about 24 hours. Shelf life I purchased was about 9 months but you get varying dates. You don't really get in a mess with it, providing you take adequate precautions. Make sure you have clean hands as sometimes it will not stick to the product and instead to your hands Easy to remove from your hands if this is the case

You end up looking for things to fix
I love these. They are great bits of soft rubber, which can be used to fix most things onto most other things. I generally have some around the house as you never know when you need minor repairs. Personally, I have used them to create small bumpers on the corners of my phone case (was a cheaper phone at the time) so that I didn't have to have a full-sized case to hold the phone. I have used them to provide some non-slip bumpers on my ageing Kindle, so that it doesn't slide around on the table or when I'm holding it at an angle. I have used them to perform emergency stem-reattachment surgery on a pair of broken reading glasses, and to also provide strain relief on cables, etc. etc. Tip: If you need the Sugru to look good (ish) when you have put it on, you can add a little soapy water to your fingers and use them to smooth the Sugru in-situ so that it has a more glossy feel. Soapy water also works to stop it adhering to something you want it to take the shape of, but don't want it to stick to. Tip2: It has a shelf-life, so if you find that you still have some and it's reaching the end of it's life, go find things to fix - maybe a kitchen knife or peeler needs a better grip? Maybe your laptop has lost it's rubber foot? That old phone charging cable feels a bit wonky? - Use your imagination!

What is says on the packet
Discovered these years ago at the Design Museum London. Used to fix small appliances, household items like leaking buckets, waterproofed boots… honestly, must have in any household!

Usually Great
I originally came across this product for work purposes where we had to model tactile grips. It worked well because it starts like plasticine but hardens on it's own without baking. I tend to use it for personal uses where i need plastic trims stuck down in the car. Trims on the steering wheel, door handles etc. a small blob of this stuff, press the trim on and it has never given up on me. The black suits these applications well and i find it more useful that super glue in these instances because you don't have to hold it there yourself. just press on and leave. My most recent purchase (only my 2nd time ordering) I wasn't as happy with the stuff, it generally felt much tackier/softer. It would stain your hands. I needed it for mounting some important enamel badges to a helmet. Sadly even after 24 hours the stuff still hadn't set, was still soft and malleable, and I lost one of the badges. I feel like maybe i was sent a dodgy batch. But this is my reason for docking a star. If when i next ordered the stuff it was like this again then I would never use it. I tend to order the correct amount for the job i need and so cannot comment on shelf life or best storage conditions.

Good for sticking things to the car dashboard
I had a problem with fixing something to my dashboard in the car. Glue gun, VHB tape and supplied adhesive pads didn’t do the job. This did the trick perfectly and now my display doesn’t move at all. May never move ever again in fact, it’s that good!

Saviour of the day.
Very useful, I’ve found a myriad of uses for it, and I keeps for ages ( if kept in the fridge!).

Very good and unique stuff, a bit expensive
I really like this stuff, it works great and I got it for a laptop charger that started to come apart at the connection after repeated use. It takes about a day to set and seems very strong. I maybe isn't as rigid as I thought but it can be stiffened by more volume if required. Only issue I have is that you really don't get much for the money. There is a lot of packaging but to be fair it is required to be kept air-free until use.

Upon receipt, I saw that the product comes with a "use by" date (mine was good for around 7 months; storing unused packs in fridge is supposed to increase this). Other than this, it seems to be a decent product, as it forms a good, semi-rigid, seal quite easily (updated review to 5-stars to reflect this-it really seems to work as advertised)!
