Simran 1000 Watts 110v to 220v Step Up Down Voltage Converter with Built-in Power Regulator 1000 WATT for Worldwide Use, AR-1000

I bought a few of these (different models) and took them to Africa where voltage swings are expected. It has been a month since i have been using these and never had a issue. I intend to buy a few more of these.

It stabilized the voltage pretty exactly.. the issue with just transformers (step up / down) is that if the input voltage is slightly higher, the output voltage is too.. but here it doesn’t matter.. the output voltage is either 120V or 230V.. it also doesn’t matter, if the load is just a few Watt or the full range.. it stabilizes load independently.. I really like it.. don’t waste money by buying just a step-up / step-down generator.. if the voltage is out of specific of your connected devices, they get damaged.. So a clear buy!!

Purchased the Simran AR-1000 1000-Watt Voltage Regulator for $40. The purchase was primarily overseas to go along with Magic Bullet NutriBullet Pro 900 Series which only handles 110v. The item was used to convert from 220v to 110v and the NutriBullet performed well. It's a big heavy and I would suggest looking for a compact product.

Update........ I only have this unit for 3 months and it's not working. The power light comes on but the voltage reading is below 110. Therefore it's not powering my refrigerator. I'm so disappointed. I feel robbed. I had to pay a technician to check my fridge only to find out that it was the voltage regulator. This unit was bought in September 2015 and I honestly believe I should be compensated. I've just plugged it in. I bought it for my Samsung french door refrigerator. I plugged the fridge guard to the voltage regulator and then the fridge to the fridge guard. So far all seems to be working well. I notice that there is a strange smell . I'm not sure what it is though. I will observe for a few more days. The fridge is working and the fuse for the voltage regulator is not blown so I guess it's doing the job. It's very quiet. .... no complaints there

The converter arrived in working condition, unlike the 3000 watt Simran Converter which arrived totally trashed and I had to return it.....I plugged this unit in and from day one it makes clicking noises almost constantly, I turn it off if not charging something or running a small fan as the noise is very irritating. Other than the noise, the unit has worked fine, but the noise is a very big drawback and I have ordered a replacement for it. I will keep this in case another one breaks later on so I will have a spare. I would not recommend purchasing this because of the noise. Having read several reviews about the Simran converters, I should not have purchased one. For replacement, I ordered a Litefuze 2000 watt, it appears a lot better built, no issues with it so far and the packaging it arrived in was much better. Just ordered a 3000 watt litefuze converter, will update the review when it arrives.

My family uses this overseas and it works great surge protectors connected to many devices. Don't hesitate as the price is far cheaper here at Amazon and these are quality products.

Bought 3 of these to use for refrigerator and microwave but worked for nothing. First day after use with refrigerator it started smoking we had to get it out of the house. Tried using it with a distributor and microwave; it burned out and smoked so bad we had to put it in the trash...waste of my money . Switched back to an off brand old step down and everything worked just fine. I will never recommend, I going for another brand

Bought it as a step up transformer for using 220V appliance. It does the job well, though I haven't measure its efficiency so far. And it is very quiet at work. This matters to me as I need to drive a moisturizer during my sleep, and it does not produce any noticeable noise. Good product, and has better value than it's non-regulator version.

A very good product and easy to operate for anyone.

Good item. The only problem is that has a bad smell of paint that requires at least 2 weeks to vanish.

I have tried it and seems to work good but havent had a chance to put it to the test with eny of my tools or apliances
