Chivalry II Day One Edition (PS5)

Chivalry 2 is an absolutely blast if you're into medieval warfare; large, online conquests (64 player modes with unique objective sequences*); goofing around role-playing using the VO wheel and interacting with things in the middle of a battle (not recommended if you'd rather keep your head..), or simply want to get into game that isn't yet another generic shooter, Chivalry 2 is a unique, gory yet hilarious dive into medieval warfare! Combat is somewhat similar to most primarily-melee games (such as For Honor, Souls games, etc.); with different attacks mapped to different buttons, which all have unique and specific use cases, and which can be adjusted by the way you direct your aim mid-swing or adjusted by how much momentum you have prior to beginning your strike. There is a fair amount of character customisation to aid your role playing: face, scars/face paint; voice and personality (affects voice over responses); attire and armour; weaponry, sigils and patterns can all be customised on a class-by-class basis. If role-playing is of upmost importance for your enjoyment of a game, then you'll be glad to know that through character customisation, VO wheel options, intractable objects and environmental items, and a fair amount of like-minded lunatics who will sit proudly on a throne, chanting and singing as dozens of enemy soldiers burst through the doors...

Really great fun, great graphics. Maybe could use an extra map or two to avoid it getting repetitive, but still keeping me coming back for more now.

Good game but I soon got bored of it

In a world full of Call of Duty, Fortnite and Battlefield, Chiv2 is a breath of fresh air. Hack and slash instead of shooty shooty bang! The game is easy to play but a challenge to master, its perfect for those with limited play time in a busy house with rounds lasting 10-30 mins. Gutted it took me so long to find this sleeper, but im so glad i found it! Buy and enjoy, take a chance on something different!

What can I say.. Yes it's online only but God its fantastic in every way. Please don't sleep on this game! It's cross platform play also. Perfect 👌🏻. On ps5 it looks beautiful and has more detail than the older consoles.

Good fun for a few hours but becomes boring after a while as not much variety of combat.

Fun game

So, long story short..... I bought the day one edition because I wanted the code for the weapon, but unfortunately the code keeps saying that it can't be used in my region which is rather confusing. If I could get a code that works I would change this to five stars, but I'm not happy having paid extra money for a code that doesn't work.
