YARNIT Yarn Bowl Crystal Clear Blue Base

I was hesitant to purchase this because of the price. However, when I saw that it was made in the USA and I checked out the company website, I decided to give it a try. This is the PERFECT yarn holder for me and is worth every penny. First of all, you can take the ball of yarn out and put it back in anytime without having to break the yarn (which is the biggest issue I have with other holders). Also, the size is just right - not too big or too small. It does exactly what I needed it to do, which is to keep the dog and the cat (both lovers of fine yarns) from snatching the ball from my lap, bag, or wherever and running around the house with it. In fact, my cat is fascinated by the fact that he can see the yarn inside the YARNIT, but can't get to it. The plastic is nice and sturdy so the cat pawing at it and the dog nudging it around with his nose don't hurt it in the least.I didn't notice until I checked out the website that this also fits in the cup holder in your car. How clever is that!!! I definitely will make use of it on road trips. Finally, the clever little base is perfect for holding stitch markers or other small accessories. Plus, it keeps the ball in one spot while you're knitting. I can't say enough about how great this thing is. I'm giving away all my other yarn holders in favor of this one. I highly recommend this for every knitter.

I love this thing! Wonderful for keeping yarn clean and tangle-free. Top twists off and on with colored plug locking it in place (pulls out easily). Slits on top of Yarnit allow you to add the optional (included) strap, which you can put over your shoulder (and it's plenty long to wear cross-body, length is adjustable). Rubber base stays put very well, but not hard to take off either - great for stashing small items like markers, tapestry needle, very small scissors, etc. (removing the rubber base does NOT open the bottom of the ball) Absolutely perfect for taking in the car, or somewhere else outside of home (including outside, in the yard, on the beach, etc.)It is slightly smaller in size than I expected, so I will need to make my yarn-cakes or balls slightly smaller to fit (I usually make cakes as large as my winder allows, which is fairly large), but it is worth the slightly smaller cakes to have the yarn protected. (Though my cat does not like it... no more eating my yarn!) :)

Unfortunately, it is too small to hold the yarn for most projects. However, the idea behind it has been well thought out. If you are making baby hats, it would would travel well and keep the yarn from getting dirty. Would love to see a larger one because I am making double stranded wool hats for the homeless.. I bought it because the yarn bowls won't hold the yarn in place well enough. If it comes out in a larger size, I will be first one in line to buy it.

I love my Yarnit and would buy many many more if it were not for the price. This product is the best, but seriously, almost $40?? That is literally my only gripe... And how it should come with two rubber stoppers... Only one doesn't always stop it from twisting loose. I would definitely recommend it, but hope someday they become more economical...

this is a worthless and lame tool

I wish I knew what size yarn everyone was using so that it worked so well. My daughter gave me a gift card and this was the first thing I got. This is a brilliant idea but it's too small for a normal sized ball of yarn. When they make a bigger one I will be the first customer!

This is my best craft helper. It is solidly crafted, love the little pocket on the bottom and nice snug fit between the 2. It is generously sized. This is worth EVERY PENNY! I WILL buy from them again. It was fast fast service. Thanks for saving my yarn! Can't wait for more products from yarnit!

This is my new yarn bowl for travel. Fits a ball of sock yarn perfectly and the bowl fots right into my cars cup holder. Also did a good job protecting my yarn from spilled drinks. Totally worth every penny.
