Cheap Tele-style guitar that somehow became my main player
I bought this Glarry Tele-style guitar as a budget pickup and didnโt expect much. Somehow, itโs the guitar I reach for most, even though I own several higher-end brand guitars. The neck was unfinished when it arrived, which might not be for everyone, but I finished it myself with Tru-Oil and it now feels smooth and fast. No sharp fret ends, and tuning stability has been solid once the strings settled. Action was playable right out of the box, though a basic setup makes it even better. Tone is bright and punchy in a very Tele way. Clean tones are clear and snappy, and it handles overdrive better than expected. The pickups arenโt high-end, but theyโre balanced and usable without sounding thin or muddy. Build quality is better than the price suggests. I also swapped the pickguard, which was an easy fit and helped personalize the look without any issues. Finish was clean, electronics worked properly, and nothing felt loose. This wonโt replace a premium Telecaster, but itโs fun, playable, and invitingโwhich explains why I keep grabbing it instead of my expensive guitars. Great value for beginners, modders, or experienced players wanting a no-stress Tele-style guitar.

Well worth the money
I own several guitars- most are within the $600 range and one I got for $1300, but never had a "Tele". With that said, this guitar is very decent for the money. Yes, you will most likely have to "adjust" a few things to make it comfortable to play, but again, for the money it is very decent. Here are my immediate plans for this guitar, in order of importance- 1. Replace the strings. *I just did this and it's already a game changer. The ones it comes with are dull sounding and they will turn your fingers and the fretboard BLACK! (I recommend doing this before playing. I wish I had!) 2. File the ends of the nut. The nut on mine has very sharp ends and as soon as I locate my file set (we just moved) I'm going to soften them a bit. I will end up replacing it eventually. 3. De-satin the neck. It has a funky feel to it which I find unpleasant. 4. Either replace or wax pot the pups. As a lot of Youtube videos mention, they are very microphonic. If you don't plan on playing it at higher volumes you will be fine. After changing the strings I sat down and played for at least an hour and was really surprised at how good it sounds, both clean and dirty. This is without a doubt the best $78 guitar I've ever purchased!

Very good for the price.
I bought this for a project, just for the body, turns out, they have their own specific cut and can't be used with fender/squier parts. Fair enough. The maple neck was very raw, and needed and extra sanding. Be careful sanding the fretboard, the frets will turn the wood grey... Fret work itself was quite good, save for a few frets popping out that were beaten back into place. Body is pretty. Extremely light. Hardware is good. Pickups are complete trash, with the bridge being more useable. My suspicion is that the cover on the neck pickup is made of copper or something else it shouldn't be and is dulling the sound. Bottom line, IF you are willing to work on it a little, it's pretty reasonable for the extremely low price you pay. And to anyone new considering this, this is indeed a ROCK BOTTOM price point. Not too bad, just needs a little tlc....

For the price, it's great!
I bought this guitar to learn more about maintenance, intonation, and fret/board setup without risking my other expensive guitars. Being a budget guitar, it was definitely playable out of the box, but it's perfect for what I intended. The intonation is sharp almost a half step on all strings, the frets are a bit gritty, and the neck had a deep release (I'm sure for shipping purposes). The body and neck are excellent in craft and the pickups are good quality for the price point. I'm very excited to learn some skill while I sharpen this axe and see how much value I can add to the amazingly low cost. 2 week update: After replacing the nut with a bone nut (why doesn't Glarry just do this??? They cost $3 and improve the tone and clarity by 80%), blocking the frets to spec, a full intonation, and bringing the action down to spec... This tele is amazing!!!! I think the bridge pickup is just a slight bit too microphonic, even for a T style, but I'll work with the height to dial it in. Final review: Excellent beginner guitar! I say that because I now believe every guitarist should know setup and maintenance. I played guitars for 10 years without knowing how to do it. Get it, learn on it. Even if you totally mess up something, the parts are easy to replace. And the investment in your skill is worth way more than the cost of this cool guitar!

Feel of the neck is not inspiring
The body is very nice looking and it isn't very heavy guitar at all. Intonation and action was good. The guitar stays in tune reasonably well. Frets were smooth. Fret ends had some sharpe edges. I just sanded them a bit and now they are ok. No problem. For my ears, the guitar sounds very bright guitar... probably too bright, even for a tele. I had to dial down the tone a long ways on the bridge pickup, but the sound was still iffy. I'll admit, my hearing is not very good. You will want to look at some other comments concerning the sound quality. For myself, I'll use the neck pickup most of the time while playing. (I might put some flat-round strings on it -- that should warm the sound up for me.) The neck feels like raw wood and is a little bumpy in that it might need a little more steel wool; it does not feel that inspiring. ( I might end up varnishing the neck .) I would think if a beginner buys this and practices a lot for the first 4 months or so to where his/her guitar playing will continue in his/her life, an upgrade to another guitar might be in order. I was hoping this guitar would have been a little better, but what do I want for less than $100. This is a very beginner guitar and that is who I recommend it for. Inspite of all the good things going for it, I would not recommend it for an advance beginner.

Well worth the money!
Iโm really impressed with this guitar. The neck is fat and chunky, the frets are excellent, only a couple of minimally high frets that I tapped down. I did file the fret ends and roll the fretboard and now it feels like a much more expensive guitar! The tuners are a bit stiff but they hold tune well. I expected to replace them but they are working well for now. The nut is cut well, again, i expected to replace it but itโs working fine for now. The body and finish are great. The pickups and electronics are junk. I will replace everything. Overall Iโm really happy with the guitar. Buying these guitars for less than $100 and turning them into something that plays and sounds fantastic is a hobby of mine so I will buy more. Also, the bridge is surprisingly good, but I will install brass bridge saddles for better tone.

Great Tele for $100
Man what a great guitar!! As soon as I opened the case and saw it, I was in love!! Then I plugged it up, the tone is soo sweet I'm might just be a diabetic now!! I am an aspiring luthier so I checked everything out. Ready to play right out of the box!! For a cheap guitar it holds its tune quite well. Only issue I have is the fret ends were a bit sharp for my liking. Quick file down with my end file took care of that! Overall I am extremely pleased with my Glarry!!
