Fuel can pump
I really like this product. Before purchasing this pump I was tilting a 5 gallon plastic gas can to pour into a funnel into my riding mower gas tank. In process I spilled or splashed a lot of gas—very messy and hazardous. This pump screws firmly onto the gas can and doesn’t leak—good seal. I leave it in place until the gas can is empty. The discharge hose is adequate but need to move gas can next to mower so hose reaches. A longer hose would be helpful. The pump is a no-brainer to operate. Requires two AA batteries (not included). The pump is of very good quality. It has inherent safety feature built into power-on which is genius; convenient & effective. I am proud to show it off. It fills my mower tank without my lifting of the gas can whatsoever. No splash or mess. No hazardous situation. This is a good buy. I strongly recommend this if you routinely lift a gas can to refuel equipment. A good gift too.

Excellent small gas container fuel transfer pump
I bought this in July 2023 and used it for the remainder of the mowing season. I have 3/4 acre of lawn. I attached it to a traditional red plastic 5 gallon gas container and used it to refill my John Deere riding mower fuel tank. It has worked flawlessly every time. Refilling my big mower fuel tank by hand with a 5 gallon gas can was far too big of a back strain on me and some fuel always spilled. Using this pump system has been so much better! No back strain, no fuel spills. When filling, you can speed adjust the fuel flow very simply with the nozzle trigger. When my mower tank is full, I shut off the pump, (important!) then hold the nozzle up to straighten the hose, squeeze the trigger and all the left over fuel drains back down into the gas can. BUT BE SURE THAT YOU SHUT OFF THE PUMP FIRST! I keep a bucket with a few rags in it next to the gas can to store the nozzle/hose assembly in, extra precaution for accidental spills. Love it so far.

Lasts 2 years then corrodes
I've purchased two of these over a four-year period and am about to purchase a third. Generally each has worked (almost) flawlessly for about two years when corrosion in the battery cage either makes the battery leads fall off or is for other reasons not recoverable. Storing outside under a roof, out of the rain etc, but in the open air; I think the Georgia humidity is simply getting to it. I've learned I have to empty the exterior hose completely before storing, otherwise there is gas seepage. Some other reviews have mentioned poor fit to their gas cans, this is true but an industry-wide problem with poor standardization and slight incompatibility between metric-produced and U.S.-produced gas cans and covers, Singapore not talking to Vietnam, or Seoul not talking to Seattle. So I wouldn't blame this product for that. I'm willing, I guess, to buy one every two years.

works very, very well
this sure bears hand pouring five gallon gas jugs is also good to take gas out of generator gas tanks and putting in fuel, it shuts off reliably when tank is full, have filled 6 -7 5 gallons into mowere= batteries are still working

Disappointed
First the pros. The pump works great and it's very easy to operate. Now the cons, and this killed it for me. After i used the pump to fill my mower i drained any extra fuel in the hose into my mower tank, i even raised the hose up in the air to allow any remaining (very little) fuel in the hose to drain back into the pump/gas can and inserted the hose in it's holder. This pump some how held a vacuum/ suction of some cert and after returning to the shed to put my mower back up i had a nice surprise waiting for me. There was fuel all over my shed floor coming from the hose of this pump. I total mess to say the least. So keep this in mind if you decide to purchase this pump. For me it was a waste of money and is now sitting on the shelf taking up space. Now one can say, after it's used just pull the pump out of the gas can so this won't happen. Well that defeats the purpose for me. The pump is setup to be attached to the tank for easy and quick transfer. If i have to go through the process of unscrewing the pump and taking it out of the tank each time then i'd just prefer the old way, pick up the gas can and pour the fuel into the tank and sit it back down. I didn't buy this to increase the job process of fueling up equipment. Now with that being said the pump will serve a positive purpose for some things. If you're going to buy it for larger fuel transfer once in awhile let's say from tank to tank and then put the pump away for awhile until the next big project then i'd say the pump will be perfect for that. But for everyday use where you plan on leaving it attached to the gas can, then no i wouldn't purchase it.

makes my life easier!
GREAT for the price! I was tired of having to awkwardly lift fuel cans to fill my ZTV and tractor. This is so easy! Flow rate is better than a modern fuel can. After using beside to drain the last bit form the siphon hose.

Saves your back!
Game changer! I no longer have to struggle with lifting the heavy gas can to fill my side by side. I ordered the longer hose length so the gas can will be able to sit on the floor. In order to move it around more easily, I purchased a rolling low to the ground cart to put the gas can onto. Now when I need gas, I roll the gas can over to the side by side and then roll it back out of the way.
