Fox Racing RACEFRAME Roost

Just received this product and I wanted to hopefully help any "bigger" riders who might be looking for affordable chest protection. I'm 6'0" and 245#, I ordered the L/XL version of this product and as you can see by the photos this fits a big boy like me.Product is well constructed, comfortable and easy to adjust / take on and off. I haven't ridden in this yet but I don't expect it to be an issue as I stated before it's very comfortable (I've been wearing it around the house for a few hours). I like how low profile the product is as it should fit under a bike/moto jersey with no issues.

I have broken ribs before and it was not fun, I literally spent months in recovery. On coming back to mountain biking I determined that I wanted some type of protection. This has fit the bill, and it's not hot as I would expect due to the well placed air vents.I recommend this product and I wear mine EVERY trip out now. I have also posted this to the mountain bike boards when people ask about chest protection.

As some other reviewers mentioned, the glue that holds the protective pieces in place is coming apart. It didn't last long, I used it six times, no crashes, just normal use - downhill mountain biking. I called Fox. They said it was guaranteed for a year, but told me to call Amazon because that is where I purchased it. Amazon came through with flying colors and fix the problem.

Well they aren't too heavy and I think an extra $50 for the pads to put in them is a bit absurd which fox was sold out of. I took a handlebar to the gut last week still got a decent bruise but also they are very slim and I can wear them under my jersey as opposed to my other rib/roost pads. Overall happy with them but would put the added money or protection into an entirely seperate set of pads.

Ordered this product and then requested a replacement. The first one was falling apart after the 1st time wearing it & the replacement came in the mail already falling apart. Really disappointed.
