This is a very fast, well-made computer for the price and features provided. I purchased it to run Mint Linux on a second, external Samsung 980 1TB SSD M.2 NvME Interface. I did have to update my Mint Linux 20.2 (Latest Release) with the 5.15.x (x=6) Kernel from "Mainline" Kernel Repository to ensure that my WiFi adapter was properly detected, the default Linux Kernel provided by Mint Linux 20.2 did not support the MEDIATEK mt7921 WiFi Network Adapter. I did have to disable the secure boot option in my Linux Partition using the Linux "mokutil" application in order to run the 5.15.x Linux Kernel (not signed) with WiFi support, please reference the following link for instructions/use: https://askubuntu.com/questions/1119734/how-to-replace-or-remove-kernel-with-signed-kernels. By using "mokutil" linux application you will not have to change your secure boot BIOS settings. I did not want to change secure boot in the BIOS since I am running Windows 11 Home in the internal NvME m.2 drive. I have been running Mint Linux for 3 weeks with the configuration that I purchased which has only 8Gbytes of RAM and it runs great! Memory use (RAM) is usually between 1.7 and 2.5 GBytes with multiple applications running, Mint Linux is very memory efficient. This is a great little computer, nice keyboard, display and good battery life, I recommend it if you are looking for a well-priced, quality laptop to run Linux and Windows 11.

I have had this laptop for over 2 years now, and haven't had any issues with anything breaking or not working as expected. Very dependable, I use it for Notion, Microsoft Office applications, watching media, and basic video calls. Just understand that it is a wonderful step up from a chromebook, but it is not a laptop designed for gaming/video editing/programming/etc. It would make a great laptop to bring to class as it is very lightweight and relatively sturdy (as far as ultralight laptops go).

Extremely wonderful laptop, for a quick on the go experience that can easily connect to external monitors and TVs with hardly any issue. Wonderful screen display as my eyes are pleased with how much color that is received from the PC. Though I do wish that the overall speakers pack more of a punch, as the volume of said speakers are a little bit more quiet than other laptops that I had. But speaking of quiet, man is this Laptop pretty silent. Hardly a noise and the keyboard barely makes a sound when typing (in accordance to my typing style). Overall it gets the job done, I'm still testing out the extremities of what games it can run, so far Borderlands 3 looked very nice up until a certain point, but running perhaps the less demanding kind of games like Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, Enter The Gungeon, and much more, still works seamlessly!

Laptop is really bang for buck 🙂. Only disadvantage is lack of ram. But nothing to worry if you use this for browsing, streaming movies and slightly editing in Photoshop. I haven't try gaming on this laptop because AMD Radeon software says laptop only has 512mb dedicated gpu memory and shared gpu memory is 4gb. Battery life is superb ( nearly 10 hours🔥) Laptop's size increases portability and weight is about 1.4kg. 🧐 Camera lens cover not in place (see below photo, so after long time dust can ruin the webcam. After 2 months, now enter key in keyboard doesn't work ☹️

I purchased this laptop back in 2023. Since then I have pushed its limits pretty far. Utilizing DAW programs to record music. It can handle quite a bit until you really load in some heavy plug-ins. It runs games like Left 4 Dead 2 on Steam with easy at high settings. Its fast, responsive, battery still like new. Keyboard has held up very well. Again I take extremely great care of my belongings. Its basically like new. Updates still continue to be released. I have nothing bad to say about this device. Its a little beast for what it is. Hdmi 2.0 for that HDR. Pair it with a nice Acer monitor to compliment it and you have a nice little setup. Its even more affordable now.

I asked for advice on Reddit for what kind of laptop would best suit my usage, and this was by far the most recommended. I am so glad I listened to the advice! I make closed captions for a living, so I am constantly typing and researching. The keys are responsive and the backlighting is nice. I had some concerns about the power button's placement in the upper right corner where the delete button usually is but I have not had trouble accidentally pressing it like I thought I would. I dislike the layout of the tiny left and right buttons placed right below page up and page down. I am often pressing the wrong button, but this will improve with time. Graphics are beautiful compared to my last laptop which was literally 11 years old. I wish the screen could be dimmed more than it is to protect my eyes, but I use f.lux to modify the screen brightness since I use my laptop all day every day. My greatest issue with the laptop is that the speakers are placed beneath the laptop. On even the loudest setting, the sound is unusually quiet compared to any other laptop I have used. When the laptop is on your lap, the sound is severely muffled, barely audible even on the highest settings. Because of this I almost always use headphones (thanks Acer for not getting rid of the headphone jack!!) Overall I am thrilled with my purchase and plan to stick with Acer for future laptop purchases. Update: nearly 2 years into my purchase, and this laptop is holding up strong! Some of the metal finish is beginning to chip from the touch pad and the keys, but they still work perfectly fine. I work full-time on this laptop and only in the past few weeks has the battery shown slight signs of decline. Very impressed with this purchase. I'd absolutely buy it all over again!

Would not turn on or charge. Barely used. Stopped charging in less than three years.

Honestly, I wanted to build a rig or a desktop, but I bought this, and I been so happy with it it's so sleek and light. When I bought it I had no plans on getting it for playing games but if you get the model I got with amd ryzen 7 you won't regret it the only thing I would change is there was a version for a little more with more v ram but besides that I have a great computer really good programs, windows 10 or 11. best thing i bought myself in years and like I said I'm able to play gears of war or the newest video games maybe not all of them but this is a really good laptop for the price

This laptop is great with the specification you are getting, But I am not sure why this laptop has got a fan issue I have tried everything to fix it but still.

El equipo funciona de maravilla, fue un regalo para mi esposa, y ella ocupa la lap para Office o búsquedas en la web, nada demandante y pues está muy sobrada la lap, yo la he usado algunas veces para tratar de estresarla un poco con más apps, pero la verdad en ningún momento la he visto que falle. El único punto negativo para ella (pero ya sabía que tenía esa configuración) es el idioma del teclado, cambie el idioma y compré unas estampas y asunto arreglado. Otro "pero" podría ser que no es posible aumentar la ram, pero hay algunos vídeos en YouTube donde muestran que si es posible, solo es cuestión de esperar a que la garantía finalice y ver si es posible o no .

I am an network guy. 40 + years I installed Linux on it right after I got it. Laptop is super lightweight, battery lasts a long time and its extremely fast. IMO I bought the AMD Ryzen 7 Not a gamer so I can't speak to that, but as far as a day to day PC goes, great deal.

En cuanto al envio, llego rapido (incluso antes de la fecha prevista) pero llegó con los sellos rotos (me imagino que porque pasó por aduanas debierón revisarla), de ahí en fuera, el equipo llegó completo y en excelentes condiciones

The Acer Swift 3 is an amazing option for a student just needing a laptop that'll last the day, while still providing smooth performance on the Ryzen 7 And AMD processors, and 8GB of RAM, amazing sound by the DTS sound divers. A quick story on how my laptop got me out of a pinch. I had forgotten to plug my laptop in the night before. I opened my laptop the next morning, running late. I found it at the half battery. I slipped it into my bag, alongside my charger. I get to the bus stop and headed to my first class, where I had to work on my PowerPoint. At the end of class, it was at 45% from only an hour's use. I went to my next class (Music) and plugged it in. My old one would've been dead halfway through the class. I thank Acer for providing such an enjoyable experience.
