The Maple is a women's steel-toe boot with plenty of technology, like a contoured memory foam SoftWair sock-liner with a moisture-wicking lining — and now comes with a medial zip. These Unisex 14 Eye Notched Welt Boots from the legendary Dr. Martens line are definitely the look for right now. The classic 14-eye boots with cap toe stitching across the forefoot are made with soft nappa leather that gives off a muted matte finish. These boots offer a HBD sole with notched welt tread and a fit that's true to size.Benefits of Nappa Leather Nappa leather is normally from sheep or lambs, which are remarkably soft and supple and primarily used for shoes where comfort is the key. The leather is made by tanning the skins with a soap-and-oil mixture, producing a soft and pliable leather.About Dr. Martens Dr. Martens is the stuff of legends. It all began near Munich, Germany in 1945 when Dr. Klaus Maertens injured his foot in a skiing accident in the Bavarian Alps. To make walking easier during the healing process, he designed a shoe with an air-cushioned sole. Using old rubber tires, he constructed soles that had air trapped within closed compartments. He showed his prototype to his engineer/inventor friend, Dr. Herbert Funck, and together they decided to develop and produce the shoes. Not only did the shoe solve the doctors immediate problem, but it also started to sell well in Germany. By 1959 the two decided that they needed a company to produce and distribute the shoes, then called Dr. Maertens, in other parts of the world. At first, many manufacturers rejected the concept of an air cushioned sole as a short-lived gimmick. However, the R. Griggs Group, located in the village of Wollaston in England, decided to go along with the idea by creating the first work boot with the revolutionary sole. On the first of April 1960, the first cherry red eight-eyelet work boot was produced and named 1460 (1/4/60). To sell the brand name better in England, the name was anglicized to Dr. Martens. The range was branded AirWair and the rest is history.

Are these the regular 1460s on their website? In regards to gender, do they just size up for men or is it a different shoe?

Perfect for Adults
I recently added the Dr. Martens floral print boots to my collection, and they've quickly become a favorite for several reasons. Here's my detailed review:Pros:Durability: These boots are built to last. I took them through a field with sticks and rocks, and despite a few scratches, they still look fantastic. The rugged construction ensures they can handle a bit of adventure without compromising their style. Plus, a little wear makes them look better anyway!Adorable Design: The floral print adds a touch of charm to these boots, making them not only durable but also incredibly cute. The design stands out without being too overpowering, allowing them to complement a variety of outfits. I bought these for myself, and I feel like the print isn't too childish at all. Pair these with jeans and a plain t, or with a cute dress and they look perfect for an adult.Size Versatility: As an adult woman with a size 6 in women's shoes, I opted for a big kids size 5 in these boots. The fit is slightly larger, which is perfect for my preference. There's enough room for thick socks, and the extra space allows for tucking in jeans when wearing skinny jeans, adding to their versatility.Fashionable Color: The color of these boots is not only eye-catching but also versatile enough to pair with almost any outfit.Cons:Sizing Consideration: Definitely pay attention to the size chart. These are listed in big kids sizing, so if you are buying for an adult you'll need to be careful about the size conversion.

Dr. Martens 1460 Originals
Just received my Dr. Martens 1460’s. I was careful and reasearched Dr. Martens and how to spot counterfeits before ordering. I bought mine from OutdoorEquipted through Prime and fulfilled by Amazon. They arrived on time and in great shape. The arrived in Dr. Martens box, wrapped in Dr. Martens paper. Boots are absolutely beautiful. Boots have all the required labels, inspection stickers and proper embossed soles. Sole are the correct color. The yellow stitching is straight and flawless. These are true to size. I wear a US size 9 and ordered a US9/UK 42. The leather is very soft and smooth to the touch but very stiff. They also fit great. I wore them all day without issue, but they will take a good deal of time to break in. I also bought the Dr. Martens “Wonder Balsam” and have applied it to the boots. I recommend doing this as it softens the leather and helps with breaking them in. I will update how they wear after break in. I am truly overjoyed so far with this purchase.

Perfect fit!
I wear an 8 or 8 1/2. I got an 8 and they fit perfect, not tight and not too big. I don't need to break them in, they feel great! I get a lot of compliments when I wear them.

So cute!
I returned them because they were too small. My fault! They were adorable though, and Doc Martens are a very durable brand of shoe!

Granddaughter Loves Theae
I bought these for my 3 year old granddaughter and she wants to wear them all the time. They broke in easy and they're perfect. I wish I could get a pair in my size.

Comfy but NOT Steel-toed
I ordered steel-toed boots for work as my current pair (on the left) are wearing out, I received “Casual Boots”(on the right) as described on the shoe box. I’ll keep the boots but I’m disappointed that I can’t wear these to work without getting a steel cover for my toes.

Nice boots
I had to return them because they sent the wrong size. My only concerns are their sqeeky and rub above ankle. Very uncomfortable.

I think a 9 will be a bit big but you can wear thicker socks if the price is good. These boots cost $150 directly from Doc Martens and any store. Doc Martens does not allow stores to sell their boots at prices lower than theirs. Each of these boots is being sold by a different seller most likely trying to get rid if inventory and are only being fulfilled by amazon. That is why each color offered comes in a limited amount of sizes. Check the boot you want and check the return policy of that individual seller. Amazon has to respect the sellers return policy and you may find yourself having to pay for return shipping whih can cut out any savings you might make if the size you pick fits."}},{"@type":"Question","name":"Hello.
