Limited double vinyl LP pressing. 2015 release. The issues of police brutality, corporate greed and racial inequality continue to fuel a powerful movement in America today. Never one to mince words, legendary New York rapper Talib Kweli's voice has become a prominent one across not only social media platforms, but through television appearances and his music as well. This surprise release sees Kweli take politicians, bankers and the entire capitalist system head on. Apart from his very successful solo career, Kweli also earned recognition through his work with fellow Brooklyn-bred rapper Mos Def, in East Coast hip hop group Black Star, as they are collectively known.

Vintage AND progressive
Kweli manages to stay current by changing with the times while staying rooted with what got him where he is. His messages stay poignant and very relevant. He even takes you from building pyramids to Dr MLK's I Have a Dream speech to pyramid schemes within only a couple bars on the title track when he says: "The dollars and cents have robbed or children of their innocence, so in a sense, we came to our nation's capital to cash a check; according to Martin Luther King when he saw it clear in his dream. We built the pyramids, they built the pyramid scheme."If that rhyme doesn't convince you to buy the album then you probably aren't a Kweli fan and this album probably isn't for you.

An incredible, fantastic TK album
This is Talib Kweli's most politically pressing album to date and one of the most important albums of 2015. It's tremendous from top to bottom.
