Q: What are the sizes????! Capacity? The mesh cell pitch? Is it good to make cottage cheese without cheese cloth?

Approximately holds 2 qt. and I have never made cottage cheese, so I don't know that answer specifically but the mesh is quite fine.

Q: Is the mesh fine enough to work with rice?

I purchased this to wash rice. Works very well
