does the unit comes with screws as well

I don't remember it having any. I used the screws from the old unit.

Yes they’re stainless steel and self tapping. Your local hardware store has them. Bring one with you so they can match it.

Will changing the motor in the fx6 increase the outflow? I’ve had the unit for about 2.5 years and the outflow is poor. Will the motor fix the flow?

Do you/have you cleaned the inputs and outputs thoroughly? Is it possible something is partially blocking the motor inlet? My motor lasted 10 years before I had to replace it. . I would just make sure all your sponges and biomedia is thoroughly clean. There is no point in replacing the motor if you don't need it. If you have and there is nothing blocking the intake then yes it should improve your outflow.

Yea after I clean it it stops working too

I've got 3 FX6 AND 1 FX4 the one thing I noticed after having these for a few years is that you need to take the motor off and remove the impeller and clean it. Once it's clean put it back together and put water to the bottom of the top tray then put it back on the tank reattach the tubes and open them to prime the filter then ug it in.

Moteur du filtre remplacé rapidement

Très facile et rapide de remplacer le moteur du filtre fx5, quatre vis et tout est en place. Livré en moins le 24 heures , installation rapide, sauvegarde de tous les poissons de mon aquarium. Aussi silencieux et efficace que l'original qui a fonctionné continuellement depuis plus de dix ans.

Buy from Amazon Germany for 240V model

Perfect replacement for my fx5 motor. Easy to replace. If you are in Australia and need 240V motor, get it from Amazon Germany and just get a converter for the plug or you can have the plug replaced by an electrician to an Australia type plug. I looked at the ones being sold from Amazon US and I can tell that it’s a 110V model, it will blow up if you plug it to Australia 240v outlet. So far so good. It was so easy to replace. Thank you Fluval for making the fx6 motor compatible to the fx5!
