I bought these to transport some frozen meat over a couple day trip. I used an RTIC cooler and the meat was already frozen, so I wasn’t too surprised that these ice packs were still rock solid after 48 hours.However, I recently used them on a separate trip in a much less insulated soft sided cooler just to keep some food cold (nothing in it was frozen). Again, after about 40 hours, these ice packs were still frozen solid. Very impressive!

I have every size of these. I bought the XL size here, and all the other ones from Rtic's website (cheaper there). They all have different uses in my case. The small and medium ones fit inside my Rtic Everyday 15 Can Cooler. I can use either size depending on what I am carrying in it. I can use the large in my 52 quart cooler. The XL ones I bought do not fit any of my cooler when a divider is used. However, I can use those to pre-chill my coolers instead of using ice for that. The XL ones will get the most use. They work great!

Love these, I use just one in my rtic lunch box/cooler for 12 hour shifts and it keeps my food, drinks, and medications all cold!

I had done a lot of research to find the perfect ice packs to travel on the plane with. These ice packs kept my breast milk frozen and stayed frozen for 6 hours. I’m sure they would stayed frozen longer than that. I was very happy with this purchase.

I placed these ice packs in my Yeti M20 Backpack Cooler for 7 hours with no ice and they were still frozen. There was some sweating but that is to be expected to a degree.I would recommend shaking the ice pack when you get it. Upon opening the ice packs, I found most of the blue gel was distributed to one side of the pack which led to more bulging when frozen. After it thawed, I shook the pack which distributed the blue gel more evenly across the pack and then found the bulging to be very minimal when frozen.I would definitely recommend as you can get two large packs for $30 while one larhe Yeti Thin ice pack is $25.
