how many times can the filters be used

there's a course,med,and fine. the system requires three at a time and all the same grade.(no mixing fine, course etc:) As for myself. I use course then med then fine for a clean wine. Sorry,but the filters can only be used once,and barely survives 6 gallons. They are a bit costly for some of us hobby wine makers. All in all I am well pleased with this setup. stanleyteee@aol.com

can the buon vino mini jet filter be use as a transfer pump so I can just buy this alone

Can it be used to put wine into bottles? (start/stop frequently)

As I've read most everyone here's answer is mainly just for turning the pump on an off.. but I made a manifold out of larger pipe and branched it off a dozen times... I fill 12 bottles at once... And I've never had problems with my wine. I take the 12 uncorked bottles and let them sit with little cheese cloth balls in their tops untill I have bottled all of my wine. And I start cooking in order. The bottles get to sit for an hour or two. I've never popped a cork and the wine always tastes great. And you don't have to turn the pump.on an off alot. 12 bottles does over 2 gallons or so plus orinus what stays in the pump system

I think it didn't have any pads. They are available at any homebrew store.
