A life saver for rebuilding jet ski carbs
Anyone who has worked on old jet ski carbs knows corrosion sometimes causes headaches. Helicoil kits have saved me on more than one carb rebuild!

Great kit
Worked great repairing threads on plastic and was every easy to use for a beginner. Only complaints I have is that it doesn't come with a tap handle and the paint on the punch flakes off very easily. In the pictures it looks like it has a black oxide coating but it is just paint.

Works great
So far i've used it on plastic and metal parts with no issues. Super easy to use, and the threaded coils work great.

Came with Broken Tap
All looked decent to install the small M3x0.5 inserts but mine came with a broken tap. It was torsionally sheared so it looked used and probably was a repackaged item back to me without quality inspection.

I was skeptical due to the price, but these are legit.
The media could not be loaded. I pulled the threads out of an aluminum optic. Due to the price of it, I didn't want to replace it, and these were worth the gamble.Price wise, these are about a quarter of bigger name brands.Quality wise? They're just as good. The drill bit was able to get through aluminum as well as you'd expect. The tap was able to cut threads as easily as TimeSert and Helicoil brands. Very high quality there. The handle grips the helicoil leg with ease, although sometimes you need to turn it to get it out.A few tips, as these are things I've learned to do:Thread lock the coil in place. I used red, but blue may work fine. This is married to this mount now, and I'm ok with that.Measure the thread depth you need and trim these prior to installation. They're not as forgiving when going back towards the hole as thicker coils.TAKE YOUR TIME. Make sure your drill is perpendicular to your work. Make sure your tap is perpendicular. Make sure your coil is perpendicular. These can be permanent repairs. Do it right.
