Perfect for a small studio set up
This diffuser is just what I needed; I have large umbrellas, softboxes, etc but for a small vlogging set up these things are just too big. This diffuser spreads the light out quite nicely yet remains small. I'm using it with the Neewer 660 LED panel (with barn doors) and it works great. I bought this D-Fuse version over the similar Neewer item because this one is a little bigger and I thought I might need the bigger size for a different light in the future. The Neewer light is a tad small for the opening but I knew this before buying. Opening the barn doors completely prevents most light from spilling out the back and it all works fine together. The quality seems good, but I can imagine that over time the support poles will eventually rip the fabric as when they are taut they brace the unit by pushing directly against the fabric overlying the inner brace structure. I think for this price, this is what you get. It doesn't seem like it will tear imminently, it just seems like an area of design weakness that over time will give way. Until then, I'm perfectly satisfied with the unit at the price point I bought it at. Honestly, even if it did rip at that point a little, it wouldn't prevent use of the item. As others have pointed out, once the diffuser is on the LED panel, you can't really tilt the panel forward anymore as the diffuser rests up against the lightstand preventing it from tilting. I just put an elbow joint, the kind you might use to attach an umbrella to a stand, for example, between the lightstand and the LED and now it can tilt freely. No problem. When you're done it folds up into a tiny little circular pouch for storage.

Mobile and easy to set up
We really like this softbox. I wouldn't say it fits perfectly on our HR672S and HR672W lights but it's more than good enough. This is actually a little more complicate than it sounds. Because you attach the softbox with velcro, if you attach it so that if fits on the light perfectly you are actually blocking a few rows of lights with the back side of the softbox. So what we do is put the top of the light inside of the softbox so that the batteries actually end up holding it up on the light. The only problem with this is that the softbox is then pointing the outgoing light slightly upward. We correct that by simply tilting the light down a little bit. Not sure if this makes sense without the product in your hands but keep reading because it doesn't matter. All of that really isn't a problem because once you have it situated and you turn the light on you see that the softbox works great! Still allows a decent amount of light through while softening it quite nicely and greatly reducing the shadows created by the HR672S & W LED lights. The best part of this softbox is how mobile it is. Folds up incredibly small and sets up in a matter of seconds. We are a very mobile video production company and being able to save time on set is great. Setting up lighting can take a long time but with LED lights and this softbox you can be set up in a couple minutes. And it folds down into a pocket sized little bag in a couple seconds. That mobility and quick set up is important to us and for that reason alone this softbox gets 5 stars. We will be buying more.

great easy to use diffusion kit.
This diffusion soft box is pretty handy and compact. It is perfect for softening hard light and minimizes shadows nicely. The only problem I see is that the opening in the back that the light fits through is relatively large which does not fit snugly around the light. I bought this kit to use with the LED GVM 480LS lights. In order for me to use this kit effectively with those lights is to connect the barn doors, open them as wide as possible then use the Velcro straps that come with the diffusion kit to connect it to the light. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because of this and because some light can still bounce out of the back taking needed light away from the subject, but it isn't ineffective as a diffuser. In fact it helps the light spread much wider than the light without it helping to light the mise en scene with less light fixtures. Great little buy for the price

Provides great diffusion while being lightweight, small and inexpensive
I use this softbox on the Aputure Amaran 672 for video with a DSLR camera and it works great. I shoot small productions on location. The softbox is very lightweight and takes up very little space when packed. On location, it pops out of its cloth case and sets up in seconds. The panel provides a great amount of diffusion considering its small size. The inside has aluminum sides to further deflect light onto the subject. I highly recommend this softbox to anyone using LED lights. While it is true that the velcro straps that hold the softbox to the light are a bit cumbersome and the diffusion does not match a 6 foot panel, overall this softbox is very effective in addition to being light weight, small and inexpensive. I think anyone owning the Amaran light will find it extremely useful having it for their travel bag.

Soft Light, Very Convenient, Professional
After receiving the soft box and installing it I realized that it might be a size to large. The light I'm using is the Neewer 660 which is a great all round light BUT after playing with it for a while I've decided that it will work out just fine. I like the larger frontal area with mid size box. I think the smaller one might cut the light down more than I want. I was also concerned about the fact the there was small areas on the back that were not covered but I don't think that will make any difference. Might even give me a little light to see the back panel in a dark environment. I can also use the barn doors inside the box and they can also be used to help secure it, especially the top one. Only time will tell as to how well the soft box will hold up but for the price and convenience I'm satisfied. I think I'll have another.

Very pleased with the product as it's very easy to set up. The only problem I'd like to report is that there were several dead moths in the packaging.

This is a very nice item. It can be a fiddle to collapse it down. But it gives a great softened light. I paired this up with a Newwer Bi Colored 480 LED light, and I was very happy with the results. I may buy another one later one as I only bought the one for a key light, I have a smaller LED light, which I use as a fill light, which seems to give me pretty good results. What I liked about this product is it fits down into a small bag, taking up little room. Being a minimalist, not wanting loads of bulky gear, this was a valid reason to buy this item.

YN-600用に購入しました。別のソフトボックスも使っているのですが面が正方形に近く大きいので用途によって使い分けてます。パイプがちょっと貧弱で使いにくい。もうちょっと太いとありがたい。
