As a young child I had a sock monkey. I loved that sock monkey. This sock monkey I purchased is expertly sewn together. The perfect size to hold and to display.I went thrift shopping and found doll clothes to fit. Cute! My grandchildren have spent hours dressing and undressing my sock monkey collection.

I have given Sock Monkeys for baby gifts for over 30 years. They are a classic toy, a reminder of the innocence of childhood, and come with a wonderful original story. When given at baby showers it always brings exclamations of surprise as no one is expecting it, and all seem to love it. On nearly every occasion I have received pictures of the little one holding the Sock Monkey; one picture actually showed the baby wearing Sock Monkey pajamas while holding hers. This particular Sock Monkey is the traditional one although a myriad of renditions are available in all colors and all manner of presentations. It is soft, pliable, and made of a sturdy knitted material with embroidered eyes and mouth eliminating any possibility of a choking hazard. The colors are vivid, bright, and true with no reports back to me of fading when the toy has been washed. This particular one has a curved tail which I think adds another layer of personality to this long standing childhood favorite. The Sock Monkey baby gift avoids the hassle of deciding about sizes, wondering what colors are wanted, or deliberating what style of baby clothes the parents prefer. The Sock Monkey grows with the child often becoming a best friend. Very well made. Grandson was extremely happy with his new buddy. I embroidered his name on the chest and some additional facial features to make it uniquely his. Very happy with this purchase.
