Recommend this for anyone who wants to learn English!

I think this is a good book for anyone who is trying to learn English for the first time. It gives you the term in Chinese then again in English so you can translate the meaning. This book also has interactive activities that will give real life situations to correctly use the phase or word in question. It also came with a CD, which I haven't seen, but I would recommend this book for any Chinese speaker you wants to start learning English.

This set of books and CD is great for beginners, I purchased this for a Chinese friend and so far it's working for her, with the help from friends at work she's beginning to develop some English language skills. This will also help her with the ESL test and lessons.

I think this is a great idea. Two Chinese speaking friends. One really likes it and the other is not so motivated. It makes much sense to me. I was studying Mandarin, and I can't imagine making progress with a teacher who didn't speak English.
