You cannot beat this printer
I've used this 6 months now so I feel I can give it a quality review. I am using this as a work from home printer that I could use sparingly. I ordered the blue which took a bit longer shipping but was worth it as it is a nice ocean blue color. TLDR version: this printer hasn't given me a single problem, connected to my wifi in minutes, and anyone connected to my wifi can easily print from their phone.I didn't have any issues setting it up. It was fast and easy. I never needed support, connected to wifi quickly and then my phone was connected to it like that. Anything from my phone I wanted to print, was done quickly. Ink is cheap, so if you aren't doing this for a business invisible ink seems pointless. It took 6 months before I bought a new cartridge but all our uses are different. It also scans, and faxes(which I wasn't sure if it did at the time) and it's really easy. It's done from a tray on top, separate from where printer paper is located, and you can access from the app and save those documents to PDF, fax, or any number of things.I've had friends come over with different phones, connect to my wifi, and print no problem from their phones. I haven't had any troubleshooting, and for the price of this model and it's convenient size I feel like it's a steal. Was expecting so many problems after reading reviews and I've had zero. Great product that makes things super easy from your phone.

compact, versatile, Light-duty printer
What primarily drew me to this printer was it’s compact size. I would describe this as a light-use, convenience printer/scanner. If you’re like me who doesn't print or scan much but still would like to have a machine on hand when needed, this will work just fine. As for looks, the design is clean and even nice to look at. The power supply is integrated inside so theres no bulky “power brick” attached to the power cable to clutter up the floor. There is also a USB cable option in case you don’t want to use a wireless connection.Unlike other multifunction printers, the scanner uses a feeding mechanism instead of a flatbed. I was a little wary of this at first but it scans or copies with good quality. it accepts various sizes of documents from full-size 8.5x11” to smaller pieces of paper like receipts or photographs. Considering it uses rollers to feed the document I’d exercise caution with brittle or fragile paper like old family photos.Print speed is about “average”. Color on regular settings on plain paper will take about 10-20 seconds and black and white about half of those times. Regular black and white text documents will print quickly. Higher quality photo settings with color are the slowest. Id recommend a better printer if you're looking for faster and frequent photo printing. The ink cartridges are small so this is definitely not a high capacity printer. As i stated earlier, if you infrequently print from time to time this will be sufficient. If you’re really worried about needing more ink HP sells high capacity cartridges. The wireless has worked flawlessly and was easy to set up. Ive found printing directly from my iPhone is SLOW. One standard print, even in black and white took almost 3 minutes. I usually never print from my phone but it’s nice to have the option.

Prints OK with fresh ink but this thing is designed exclusively to sell HP ink; scanner is horrible.
Installation is complex and intrusive, HP now wants to own your printing life so to use this device you must be online, must register an HP account, must allow them to track your printing activities, must have HP cartridges installed (or it does NOTHING), etc. If you really want to be HP's slave, try subscribing to the HP Ink program: if you print a lot you pay a lot, and if you don't then the cartridges dry out and you pay to replace them (HP will not)... Gotcha! The scanner is a joke: the scroll feeder cannot grip paper, and if it pulls the original in at all, the top part of the scan image is distorted or has a large black area where it was struggling to feed while you tried to push the page in. It's like a game: the challenge is to get a decent scan in 20 tries, or you lose (i.e., you give up in frustration). I really miss the old HP, the one that focused on making good devices.
