Wow, the camera is far better than I expected. Compared to my Logitech C920, it is slightly better in picture quality and way better in colour science. My skin tone and the rest of the room/background look way better. Of course the poly is 10x better than built in laptop webcam. I'm not sure why these are selling for $15 but they easily deliver quality worth $50-$75. I also like the built in USB port in the back of the webcam which I use for my mouse dongle. The privacy shutter is also super cool because you can visually see when the camera is off and in privacy mode. The camera works plug and play with my windows 11 laptop with no need to install anything. Windows 11 built in webcam settings work flawlessly to change zoom, focus, brightness, contrast etc. You can easily turn off auto focus in the settings if you prefer. I have not used the built in microphone too extensively as I use a headset so I can't provide in depth feedback on it.

The image quality, realistic colors, zoom, focus, brightness l are surprisingly good and fully meet all my requirements for any meeting. Instantly connectung to various Win11 laptops, with USB Type-C adapter or to older Win.10 PC without adapter. I haven't encountered any of the issues mentioned in other reviews. ​This webcam features an orange mechanical privacy shutter behind the protective lens and completely shuts off the camera by rotating the ring on the front of the housing, accompanied by an LED indicator on the top. IMO, it’s very convenient since the bright shutter complements the indicator light. ​The housing is grey with dark speckles – not ideal, as I would have preferred a solid black. However, that’s definitely not a deal breaker. It looks really nice tho. Also, there is a standard 1/4" tripod thread on the bottom of the case. ​Bottom line: Really good device. Also, at this price point, the only other options are several no-name webcams that are completely incomparable in quality to this one. Definitely recommended!

so ive been using this for a while now for filming art, and It is pretty good for my needs, IT directly bolts on to my camera mount and has a privacy shutter, IT has some interesting features. I wouldn't say its the best camera but for my needs it works, and its not the 4k one .I have but the 1080p one. I like it and it was a good value.

Bought this on a whim cause of its price and how it looks. Was using a Chinese rugged phone, the air1 ultra, as a webcam using the app Droidcam. Left it plugged in all the time like a fool and the battery started expanding. Ordered the Emeet c930 ultra but then I saw this little guy for only $15. Ordered it as well. A little crazy what they were charging for these at first, like 120?, but for $15 it's a no brainer, especially from a name brand like Poly, formerly Plantronics. I've used their headsets in the past, good stuff. It's great not having to worry about dealing with the extra steps the phone took to stream as a webcam. Easy to set up. The program for it, Poly Studio, let's you control all the functions manually, which you'll likely have to do to get it to look just right. But when you get it there it's good to go. Make sure you run windows updates and check the firmware version in the app. Mine was producing glitchy video until I made sure everything was updated, including drivers and firmware. Audio quality was subpar but to be expected from a webcam. Zoom was good. Auto focus has trouble sometimes, just keep the lighting good and use manual settings for best results.

When this product worked, it was great! Within 6ish months, the microphone no longer worked. After 13 months, the camera stopped working. No big deal I thought, I will warranty it. Well, I purchased an Amazon Warehouse unit I believe, in July of 2022, I enter the Serial Number for warranty service & this sucker shows as purchased July 2021! Aka my 2 year warranty is allegedly up. For a product Amazon claimed had the full factory warranty, this is a problem & major annoyance.

I needed a new camera with mic for infrequent but quite extended Zoom presentations. Hence why I did not want to make a huge investment as my laptop camera and mic frequently encountered problems especially when I needed to be connected for an extended time. I found this camera to be extremely easy to setup and use. The picture quality and sound quality was very good. My audience also thought the picture and sound were very good. It was super easy to adjust all aspects of the picture quality as well as adjust the camera on either the top of a laptop screen or separate monitor. I used mine on the top of a 28 in monitor. I loved that the camera did not clip tight on the top of the monitor as during the presentations it was necessary for me to move the camera from the top of the monitor to highlight smaller items I needed to show the audience. The camera comes equipped with a way to cover the lens when not in use. Since I will use this infrequently, I can quickly take on and off as needed. It plugs in via a USB port. Those who may need to keep it attached to their monitors may find it may move around if you move your computer equipment around since it does not clip tightly. That was the only downside I saw from my "I just need a better camera" scenario.

The Camara come defective

On/Off transmitting: I haven't tested the quality of this camera yet on either mic or video, but I really like how twisting the lens will turn it red ( as well as the little LED "fin" on top turning red ) which says it's not transmitting video, even though it reports as a camera still and doesn't disconnect from USB. The video just comes out blank. The way you know the camera is transmitting is the little LED "fin" on top lighting up as green. Break-down: A super nice feature is the break-down where the camera itself which can be separated from the "clip" at the camera's 1/4 hole mount. This cuts down on the bulkiness in your laptop bag, where it's only the thickest as it is wide. I also really like the 1/4 camera mount hole when you break down the clip from the camera, meaning if I ever need to mount this on a tripod, I'm good to go.

Don’t Forget to open completly the camera.

I bought this hoping that I would be able to have one device that could work both as a webcam and microphone, but the microphone was so bad I sent the P5 back. I don't know if I was doing something wrong, but I tried the P5 on two laptops with the same result; no audio pick up and when it did it was unintelligible. Plantronics have clearly tried to up date their marketing so they aren't seen as a supplier of low end products, and that it what convinced me to buy the P5, but the product was still low end quality. Avoid the Poly P5.

Installation facile : on branche et ça marche (sur pc et sur Mac) pas besoin d’etre admin pour l’installer. Aucun logiciel à installer. Vidéo top et prise de son également ( utilisation avec teams, FaceTime et zoom)

In a market not exactly lacking choice, the Poly P5 stands out in in terms of its design. Picture quality is sharp and the colour well balanced with a good autofocus response. The internal USB connector has proved to be an incredibly useful feature simply to free up a USB port for another peripheral. I love the privacy filter - the bezel rotates to open/close. The red 'petals' of the cover are a nice visible reassurance that the lens is covered, but the bezel also triggers a physical switch, so the camera doesn't switch on until you rotate the filter to fully-open. The mount is good, adjusting to clip on to the screen and give some angle, but if you remove it (its magnetised rather than screwed in) so you just gently pop off the base to access a standard tripod mount thread (which I am using) - I've read reviews saying the lack of a tripod mount is a negative and that did put me off initially, so I really wanted to address this - it's a great webcam!
