Emsa 505320 Clip & Close ice Cube Maker, Makes 21 Cubes

This tray works really well. Ice tray was easy to fill,and the cover helped in keeping water contained and free from odors. Ice cubes were easy to get out of tray too. I would buy more.

I liked this when I first bought it, but after only two months and probably 10 fills, one of the side tabs on the cover is breaking off at the hinge. My primary reason for buying a tray with a cover was to avoid leaks in the freezer, so once the cover no longer seals, this tray will be useless to me.

Creo que he encontrado mi cubitera. Por lo que sea nunca me he llegado a apañar con las "de toda la vida". Terminaba tirando la mitad del agua. En esta, gracias a la tapa, se queda todo en su sitio. Las pruebas: La llenas y la cierras con normalidad. La transportas con facilidad al frigo y la pones horizontal, claro. Al sacarla y por consejos leidos aquí la pongo bajo el grifo de agua a la temperatura que salga (nunca va a estar tan fría como la que tiene la cubitera) con lo que el contraste ya empieza a desencajar tanto la tapa como los cubitos. Nada, unos segundos. Abro la tapa procurando no forzar los cierres ya que he leido que algunos se rompen. No los giro del todo, simplemente los separo de sus pestillos. Si no se abre sola, la cojo con las dos manos y la "retuerzo" sobre sí misma un poco y así, además, se van desprendiendo los hielos. Ahí ya se abre. Saco los hielos y vuelta a empezar. El tamaño de los cubitos es pequeño y se derriten con relativa rapidez pero bueno. Me vale.

These work great and stack perfectly on top of each other in my fridge icebox. Sure they drip a tiny a tiny amount when taking them to the fridge but nowhere near the amount they would without a lid. Some people are pedantic and will whine about the slightest thing. With the lid on you can balance a few of these on your frozen stuff in a fridge freezer, something you cannot do with regular trays, but still people will whine if a drop of water drips on the way to the chest freezer. I fill the trays with filtered water from my Brita jug. I fill the jug at night to have ice cold water in the morning from my fridge, but during the day when it runs out, I pour hot water on the base of these ice trays for 25 seconds. I then tip the entire tray into the bottom of my Brita jug, replace the top part with the filter and fill it up with water. Seven minutes later I have a jug full of filtered water like it has just come from my fridge in the morning. They are excellent ice trays. I bought 4 at the same time after reading reviews and the reviews were right. I am going to buy 4 more. If you just want to take out a few cubes for a single drink in a glass then that is not so easy. You cannot push individual cubes out from the bottom, bending the tray is minimal and next to useless. The only way I have got ice out is using hot water under it with the lid on it, then banging the open tray inside my Brita Jug. I would think you will have to pour the entire contents of the tray into a bowl or an ice bucket and remove ice individually from them, or knock the ice out on a plate and replace the cubes into the tray ready for the ice box again. You will need about 10+ trays to half fill an ice bucket. This is where that stacking in a chest freezer or ice box in a fridge works out well.

Mon nouveau réfrigérateur ne comportait pas de bac à glaçons. Je trouve ce bac très pratique, le couvercle bien hermétique permettant de ne pas renverser l'eau, ni sur le sol entre évier et Frigo, ni dans le congélateur. De plus, il est assez facile à ouvrir et les glaçons sont faciles à extraire, à l'unité si besoin. Satisfaite de cet achat.

Have been using this for over 5 years now & its still going strong. It hasnt snapped in half or broke etc. Its a great ice cube tray. Simply fill it, close the lid and freeze it. When removing the ice, twist the tray left & right to loosen & then out pop 21 ice cubes, very easy. I always put them into a freezer bag and refill the tray so I never run out. Would definitely recommend, has a 30 year warranty. Im giving this one a 5 star rating!
