914 Porsche: A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity Paperback – July 22, 1999

The book has very detailed information that I'm not sure you would find anywhere. I give it high marks for meeting the goal. But, don't let the glossy graphic cover fool you- the sub-par photos throughout are reminiscent of the old Haynes car manuals! The paper it is printed on is low quality "rag" type paper. The book would be five stars if the graphics were improved to just standard of the industry.

Good guide to the Porsche 914, covers all years and models of production. Includes lots of information on trim levels, model year changes, etc... Not what I would call the ultimate guide to the 914 but if you have one or even just a fan, this book is a great start to get to know and research these cars. Recommended.

A useful book but the writing lacks system. It is more anecdotal than carefully covering engine, interior, and mechanicals. You cannot use this to find out how something looked or what parts are authentic for the model year in any serious way. There is useful information, but it isn't really what it sounds like.

The product is exactly what I ordered. It is chalk full of historic pictures and information, making it a valuable reference guide.

A "must-have" for any 914 owner that is interested in either restoration or maintaining this classic car is stock form. There are many, many tiny variations among the years of production for this car, and this book does an excellent job of documenting them.

As an owner its a must.

Compared with Dr. Brett's 356 work it was somewhat disappointing. I was hoping for more information on the suspension, undercarriage, etc. Perhaps he will come out with a more extensive piece. Well put together, but not exactly what I was looking for.
