I bought these to use on the pickguard of a guitar that I was building. It was a little difficult to get used to using it at first, so I definitely recommend a practice sheet or two. But it ends up looking great. I love it!

I do a lot of gold leaf and these add a little varity in color. each sheet is brotected by a paper sleeve. the silver paper is nice and sticky to the mastic.

I've never gilded anything in my life, but, now I have and it's not only easier than I thought but it's absolutely stunning!

This was my first experience working with gold foil so I don’t t have much to compare it to, but aside from being very thin and fragile, it’s fun to use on my canvas abstract paintings. I like the effect.

I used the silver color to do some detailed accents on willow leaves. I was a little nervous with some of the thinner lines that I was making that the leafing wouldn't come off well and leave little jagged edges that were difficult to smooth out as I'd had with some other metal leafing, but this worked beautifully. I haven't tried the other two colors (I got the multi-color pack), but I'm very pleased with the results of the first one.I should note that ALL metal leafing is messy and can be difficult to work with in even the slightest breeze (or airflow from your heater), this was no exception. That isn't a failing of this particular product, that's the nature of all thinly pressed metal leafing (it'd be a lot more expensive and less flexible for your projects if it was thicker). So, even though I gave it a 3 for ease of use, that's not because it was any more difficult than other leafing, just all leafing is generally difficult and messy.

Beautiful color very hard to use. It doesn’t stick to what you want and it crumbles.
