Sennheiser MX 985 in-Ear Headphones.

If you're like me and you hate the way inner ear headphones feel and you want an audiophile quality earbud that doesn't go deep inside your canal... these are for you. Unfortunately, it seems that Sennheiser has abandoned the high-end ear bud segment (along with other manufacturers), so buy them now while you still can. This model was never even offered in the US and it was on the international market for less than a year before it was pulled, which is a real shame because they are the best ear buds I have ever owned. I previously used the MX980s and while they were (and are) a great pair of earbuds, the MX985s offered a more refined style and function. As I said, I don't like inner ear phones, I'll never get comfortable with them, so a good quality ear bud is my only option.For those of you still seeking this headphone, I can recommend EY Mall who currently sells them for $224.00. There are other sellers for Japan, who I'm sure are good as well. I purchased an extra set of these recently, just so I would have a backup pair if my current pair ever get damaged or lost. I'm going to start hoarding these since it doesn't look like we'll be getting MX990s!
