7 7/8ths inches tall (with lid), and 4 5/8ths imches in diameter at the base. Measurements taken with tape measure and eyeball.

Does this work with coffee grounds that are not coarse?

Yes but fine ground coffee will probably need to be run thru a filter into another glass container, as I do. Coarse ground works better and if you want a good brew
