Very sturdy and solid, and a good size! They hold up every plant we've hung on them. The vinyl coating stops them from moving around, so once they are hung, they stay in place. Compared to some other plant hangers, they look pretty good, which is great cause I am using these to hang plants inside and wanted them to look nice. I have them hanging off a 1' diameter rod, and I could put them on a bigger rod if I wanted to. Instead of those large, silver, wirey-looking long hooks, these are heavy-duty, black, and a good size. They seem strong, well strong enough for my bird feeders. They were perfect when I got them, however one got a cut in the vinyl and rusted very quickly from being in the rain. Other than that I'd recommend them.
