This coffee is consistently high quality! It is one of my favorites and I have been purchasing at least 5 years! It roasts up very well! Delish!!

These Costa Rican Tarrazu beans are on the smaller side compared to what I normally get from my local roastery and another online roaster. The smaller size actually works well for stovetop roasting since you can control the heat and timing more precisely, but it’s not ideal for automated or timed roasters that rely on consistent bean size for even results. The batch I received also arrived with the bag unsealed. I’m not sure if it happened during shipping or while it was in storage, but it was unexpected for a 5‑lb purchase. Despite that, the beans themselves looked fine. I may give this another try in the future once I’m ready to spend on another large bag, because the quality seems promising—just be aware of the smaller bean grade and check your packaging when it arrives.

Good rich flavor not bitter. Beans are medium sized and consistent in color and size. Results in even roasting with very little chaff remaining. I roast medium, dark and Brew espresso and then drink Americanos.

These might be my new favorite beans bumping Primo's Nicaraguan Single Estate to #2 on my leader board. I typically roast to Full City + and these turned out fantastic. The coffee was smooth and chocolatey. It made a particularly delicious espresso as well as a great regular cup. Will be buying these again for sure. Buy these with confidence. UPDATE: Beans stand up well to a double roast which is a technique I stumbled on accidentally like most folks do. I am now addicted to double-roasting these beans! These make so much velvety crema. My coworker who loves a good espresso commented that my Costa Rican roasts have him in uncharted territory as the best 'espresso' he's ever tasted. Highly recommended beans.

The Costa Rican Terrazu came well packed and capable of handling any shipping abuse. The beans smelled fresh and were uniform in size and shape. I had a nice uniform first crack. I'm not a "super taster", so I won't go there as to what fruits and herbs the beans generate. I will just say that this was a good buy and I am satisfied.

Coffee was delivered in a good packaging. Open the bag of coffee and was greeted with a nice aroma. Lightly roasted coffee. After waiting 24 hours, I grounded coffee with a course grind for an automatic drip maker. Immediately made 12 cups of coffee and got my first sip of Costa Rican Tarrazu. Very good flavor. Great buy.
