I've installed this on three different ceiling fans and the first one was three years ago. The good: it works super well. The remote is surprisingly powerful - it gives you three different settings and I've never had to press it twice to get it to detect my press. I even used it from across the house with two walls in between and it still worked. It doesn't beep when you use it, so you won't wake your partner up changing fan speeds at night (but it does make a click). It programs using a 4-switch rocker, so you can potentially install it on 16 different ceiling fans (or control multiple fans with one remote). The remote seems durable and it has a glow-in-the-dark button for the light so you don't accidentally press it at night. I just didn't connect the light to mine, so that's an option too. The meh: you can't tell your neighbors about it, because as I mentioned, you can only program 16 different fans and the remote WILL go through walls, so if you and your neighbors use the same setting you'll be inadvertently turning on each other's fans, then you'll be on here telling everyone your fan is turning on by itself. And changing the program is a pain once the device is installed. Also be aware that it takes some finesse to install. If your ceiling fan uses a down rod, it will fit under the cover plate where the wires come out of the ceiling, but you'll have to cram it all in there with the wires. The instructions don't say how to get it to fit, but basically you have to fit it inside the ceiling mounting bracket between the wire box and the ball end of the down rod. It's a pain, but once it's done, it's done and you'll never have to go in there again. I looked for a controller which fits better and couldn't find one, so it seems they're all the same. I have not installed it on a flush-mount fan, but I imagine it's easier. The remote itself is a pro or a con depending on what you want. You can get a different one controlled by Alexa or an app. The pro of the remote is you don't to have to speak or open your phone in the middle of the night. And if your internet goes down, you'll still be able to turn your fan on/off. The con is that it's another remote taking up space and potentially getting lost.

Works great. Wiring was clear and easy to do. I was looking for something that would allow me to control the light on a wall dimmer, but control the fan with a remote. It works great for that. I simply ignore the light wire and use only the fan ones, then I tucked the fan’s chains into the fan so I effectively have a chainless fan that supports a wall switch and dimmer for the light. All the remote-included fans you buy don’t support controlling the light separately. This allows me to do that. So, I can turn on the light when I enter the room and don’t have to find the remote to do so. Glad to find this product.

Instalation was very easy. Everything worked perfectly. I would buy it again if other fan receiver should ever go bad.

All cables were perfectly labeled and instructions were clear. However Highest Fan Speed is not as good as previously remote or Max speed that I get without Remote. Otherwise it works great.
