Military Protractors

I bought one for my wife to teach her land nav and now I’m gonna buy a second one because these are so much nicer than the ones I used in the army and it’s making me jealous. It’s crystal clear, cut right on the lines and very rigid, not to mention the markings are actually etched in. In you were in the army you probably remember the flimsy translucent protractors you’d get, where they were cut with an extra millimeter or so of plastic next to the markings making it so you’d have to move the protractor to mark your map, and how if you kept it in your pocket for long enough the markings would just rub off. That won’t happen with this one, great quality well worth the money.

I have used the RA Protractors throughout my 32 years of military service, and l find this particular one very well made with very clear letterings and markings. The surface of the protractor does not smudge easily when l touch it with my grubby fingers in the field. Will make it my family heirloom and teach my grandson how to use it. Any trained military / vet should be able to use it for navigation.

It is clear, the blue film is just a protective film that's easily removable and it's a thick and asturdy product.
