It’s a Beast ! Well worth the $ !
I purchased this orbital sander to remove 20 year old multiple coat polyurethane off of my interior staircase, figuring it’s worth a shot at around $40 bucks, even if it burns out after the 13 steps are done. Well let me tell you, this machine, with 40 grit paper, removed the 20 yr old,3 coat poly without major effort. The old poly loaded up a 40 grit 5 hole disc pretty quickly, but that’s to be expected when completely removing any coating; like I said, 1 disc per step. I McGyver’d an adapter to my shop vac and everything worked muy bueno. Finished each step off with 120 ,then 240 grit and the oak treads were smooth as J Lo’s butt. This 3.8 amp sander was never strained by major down force pressure when using the 40 grit discs. The photo shows the old poly on the intermediate landing and the freshly sanded steps just below, you can see the difference .Half the price of a DeWalt, a tenth the price of a Festool, and the same end result. This type of task is more demanding on a machine then just straight up finish sanding, and it completed the task without any strain or damage. This a a great buy for any one.

The sander is great!
I love it. I bought this orbital sander to give my kitchen cabinets a makeover. The safer was so easy to use and not too heavy. My cabinets looked beautiful. I couldn't be happier!

Make sure the holes are lined up.
Best orbital sander I've used. Easy to set up, and very efficient. I was quite impressed. Looking forward to bigger jobs to try it on.

The adjustable front handle allows constant control
Very easy to use, adjustable, good value, the dust collector doesn't do much, but if connected to vacuum collector probably would be better. I don't have one.I used ot on cabinet top build, other sanding projects, wood so far.

It breaks.....A LOT!!!
I bought this May of last year and I have to say, I am not sure if this is a "one off" problem unit, but it has all ready eaten 1 pad and 2 bearings, the second was today. So basically, I have all ready had to replace the pad and the bearing in it within 2 months of owning it. The second bearing just went today. See Images, that is the bearing that is now in pieces. I'm not sure what it is with this sander but it loves to eat pads and bearings. When the bearing went today it literally slung the pad and made a nice big scratch on my customers grill. Now I have to pay for the customers grill. I can not find any customer support for this company. I dont think that Jellas is a bad company, I probably just got the one that was produced and had a flaw. Unfortunately, I can not afford another one right now and I have a lot of sanding left to do, so I guess that I am out of luck.

orbital sander !!!!
I bought this sander after looking through many others on amazon. I was looking for one with more power than most others. I received the first sander and the sanding pad would not even move at all by hand. I tried sanding for just a few minutes and black plastic chunks started flying all over and the motor got very hot. I reached out to the company and they sent me another sander two weeks later i finally get it and it has the same problem the pad is rubbing on the bottom of the sander, not as bad as the first one but it should not be like that period. I have been remodeling houses for 35 years and have never seen a sander made this way the pad always spins freely by hand, if it doesn't it will burn up the bearing or the motor one or the other. I took the time to read all about this company before buying this sander and for a company who makes products specifically for wood working which is pretty hard on sanders you would think they would make a good sander. To the owner of Jellas, this sander is not being assembled correctly the shim under the pad is not consistent and not thick enough to keep the pad from rubbing on the bottom of the sander. This is a simple thing to rectify with a thicker spacer. many many people have complained about it burning up and catching fire even. Now i have to fix the sander myself and add washers so it will work correctly ?????? although this sander is very powerful it cannot function rubbing in this manner........
