Perfect for training, racing, and recreation, TYR's Diamondfit women's swimsuit is ideal for athletes who want reliable coverage during every swim. TYReco fabric is made of 80% recycled nylon (requiring less energy to produce) and 20% Lycra XTRA LIFE fiber — resisting damage from chlorine and lotions up to 10 times longer than swimsuits made with unprotected spandex. TYR's Diamondfit swimsuit design features sleek, flexible straps, a medium neckline, keyhole back, and a moderately cut leg. Ideal for both the beach and outdoor pools, the long-lasting Diamondfit Swimsuit's UPF 50+ fabric protects your skin from the sun by blocking harmful UVA/UVB rays. Tested to give you the edge in all your activities, hand wash for best results. Named for the Norse god of warriors, TYR Sport was established in 1985 and has grown to become one of the world’s most recognizable swimming and triathlon brands. Dedicated to building the industry’s most durable, uniquely designed swimsuits, TYR also offers innovative caps and goggles and cutting-edge equipment like fins, snorkels, floats, and more. TYR, Always in Front.Care Instructions: TYR swimsuits are designed to be both durable and reliable. While chlorine is known to be extremely damaging to fabric, proper product care will help to extend the life and vibrancy of your suit. Remembering to rinse your swimsuit in cold water after every use is a great place to start. If you are a regular pool swimmer, feel free to also add a touch of Woolite to your rinse. This will help to further remove chlorine. We do not recommend the use of detergent or machine washing on any of our swim products. Review: Great color, high quality and fully lined. - I bought this because of the gorgeous burgundy color. I am 5'3", 108 pounds, 32A and the size 32 fits perfectly. The suit feels great and is lined in black, front and back. I have been wearing a black Speedo lap suit in the Endurance polyester fabric. That suit has indeed stood up extremely well (the pool I swim laps in four or five times a week has a fairly low level of chlorine and I am careful to wash out the suit after every swim). But the Speedo suit is a little difficult to put on as there is not that much stretch. It feels OK especially when wet but is not as comfy as nylon. And I am noticing that the tush area is getting pretty pilled just from briefly hoisting myself out of the pool. I have not sat around in the suit at all. So while the Endurance fabric does stand up to the water like nothing I have ever seen before, the suit might still not have that much longer a life. Given this experience I decided to allow myself to have this nylon/lycra suit. The TYR suit is so much easier to get on. The styling is fine. The legs are a little bit lower cut than the Speedo. I will take good care of it, as I have done with the Speedo and just enjoy it. Review: Excellent fit! - Great fit and LOVE this bright blue color. It fits as expected - not too tight or hard to get on, hugs all the right places, holds everything together, and gives a nice smooth, supportive appearance. I ordered a 38 - 5'6, 34B/C and 142 lbs. I am super happy to have this for my aqua fitness classes. Just need to find another color/pattern or two.

Incredible!
*** Update: 5 years later I still buy this suit when it's time to replace. Still very happy with it! *** I've been a fitness swimmer (3-5 times a week) for 20 years and gone through many swimsuits over the years, all brands. They tend to last an average of 6 months, some a little longer, some just barely. Fit is what I am most concerned about, I've been through any variation here - some are too tight, but still usable; some fit but get loose very quickly; almost all ride up a bit in the back, have too high of a leg cut, or are prone to side spills on top. I kinda know what worked for me and try to hunt down the same suits (Arena, Tyr - Maxbacks); this time I came up empty. I was never fond of the thinner straps of the Diamondback as far as looks go, and questioned their ability to hold up over time, but I see just about everyone else wearing these at my pool, and based on the good reviews this suit has been getting, I ordered one, and it is fantastic: 1. It fits true to size, snug, but not to the point where it's super difficult to put on. I ordered size 36, I am 5'8", 130 lbs, 36A. 2. I actually love the thinner straps - they feel really secure, and look a bit more feminine than the Maxback. 3. Flattering fit. It's still a functional workout suit (not to be confused with a cute poolside outfit), but it has a nice fit (I had to return the Tyr Durafast Maxback which compressed me into a square - very unflattering) 4. It is lined throughout. I rarely, if ever, had a suit that was also lined on the backside, which is usually what thins out first and the main reason I have to replace the suit. Finding it fully lined was a pleasant surprise. The liner is black for the black suit - not tan. I only had it one week, so I cannot attest to its durability, but it being Tyr, I don't expect anything less than 6 months. I will definitely replace it with the same one when the time comes. I hope they keep making it!

Ideal for swimming
I am a 5'2'', 135 pounds short latina I got myself a size M (32) and it fits pretty well. I love the soft double layer fabric. Great for swimming practice. My first Tyr and definitely not my last. Even though the color seems clear, it covers perfectly well.

My favorite practice suit
It’s been half a lifetime since my years of competitive swimming. I struggled to find a suit that fit my adult body until I found this one. For reference I am now 5’4”, a D cup, a size 12, 170 LB, and wear a size 38 suit. It has great stretch, is comfortable, doesn’t pinch on the hips or shoulders, and has plenty of room for my chest and butt. This suit understands that my body has changed but my desire to swim hasn’t. While it’s extremely accommodating, I can flexibly move in it and the suit moves with me. I wear it every day and it holds up. I practice 4-5 days a week, and I find myself replacing it once a year as the color fades and the material sags (like any typical suit), but it has never once gone see through on me. I’ve tried other suits but I always come back to this one. It’s simply the best.

TYR fades fast
This is the second one I ordered. The first ripped with two uses. I returned it and got a replacement. This one I have had less than two months, about 40 uses in chlorine pool and it is completely faded. I bought this brand thinking this would not happen so quickly

Nice fit but color fades too fast
I am a plus size lap swimmer and was so happy about the fit of this suit when it arrived - its meant for lap swimming/is fully lined and no obnoxious bra pads for "support." Its brilliant blue was a fun color too, only it started fading with each swim (despite rinsing it off in shower after each swim) and now, a month later, the belly button is practically white (not where I want to draw anyone's eye!) and the rest is a sad, dull blue. I'm dreading when it becomes entirely see-through (probably another month or so at this rate & I only swim 2-3 times a week for 50-90min!) Not ok!

I have purchased this style/brand before and it's great for just doing laps in the pool (I swim 5 days a week). My previous one started to discolour after about a year even though I washed it after every swim. This suit is good, but I have a long torso so I have to size up (and sometime it is 2 times up) because the length is 80% of the time much shorter than what the size chart indicates. No matter what the description says all tank suits will discolour and loose the elasticity in the materials. I find it surprising that the liner does not which I find odd. My order came as promised and not damaged in shipping. Also the price is great as I have found other retailers charge a lot more!

Nice stretchy light fabric - not too stiff and heavy like some of the chlorine resistant fabrics. Flattering fit.

When you find that perfect piece of clothing or shoe, the smart thing to do is buy a bunch in every colour so you never run out! That's what I've done with this swimsuit. It fits comfortably and lasts longer than other brands (I always come back to Tyr for durability). I use it in all kinds of different water... sea, heavily chlorinated pools, lakes... and it still holds up well. I'm 5'9" and usually wear size 14-16 clothing. The size 42 swimsuit fits perfectly. Freedom in range of motion, doesn't feel tight on the shoulders or back. Highly recommend!
