5 Hour Energy with Protein, Peach Mango, 6 Pack

Tastes awful. Thought it would be a convenient way to get some energy and protein for pre-workout or whenever, but just not worth the taste. it is convenient so giving 2 stars. But I will go with less convenient for something that doesn't taste awful. It's fruity, but more chalky and has a weird protein taste to it -- chocolate/vanilla/other protein shakes are solid tasting because they go okay together. Perhaps other 5-hour flavors that would go with the protein component would be good, will have to look into that, because it is convenient. But I would avoid the Berry. It is a very odd and bad tasting combination. And it's enough volume that you don't just down it like a regular sized 5-hour energy (need more "solvent" for the protein I imagine).

the regular 5 hour energy does the trick. This is extraneous and unnecessary (money grab?). Worth one try and that's it.

I am a big fan of the 5-Hour Energy energy shots. The don't taste THAT bad and the work well. I use them on late night drives home from football games and busniess trips and they are great. I can stay alert till I get home. I had high hopes for the Protein Shots.....but I can barely force them down. They taste terrible and they make me nauseous.I've got three left and I'm going to have to throw them away. I'll stick with the plain old shots from now on.

It's good if you are in a rush and need some calories and protein. The taste is strong, but typical compared to some of the other 5 hour drinks I've tried!

Actually test same has the energy drink. I was hoping to find it more exciting.

The taste was very strong and the burning on my throat was unbearable. I drank a few sips of 1 bottle and the rest are in my closet never to be heard from again. I'd rather drink a protein shake or eat some chicken to get the extra protein I need.
