First let me say that this is the 2nd one of these I have installed, my husband and I are getting to that age where we need a little help getting up steps and these filled the bill. The first one is on our front step and I liked it so I wanted one for the garage. The first one came from a different merchant that no longer sells it, but this one is identical. This took me about 1 1/2 hrs to install, but it would have been less if some of my tools hadn't been missing in the garage and I had to go find them. The product comes with almost everything you need to install: A drill bit for concrete, expansion pipes for concrete, 4 Hex head screws w/caps that can be used for concrete or wood, an Allen wrench to install the screws that hold the top rail on and those screws. In addition to a Drill you will ALSO NEED a 14mm wrench or socket to tighten the Hex head screws down. What DOES NOT come with it are any Comprehensive instructions, just a parts list and a few diagrams, nor are there any on the website, so I'll try to help you with some here. Reading other reviews 1 complaint I saw was that the cover that goes over the base kept getting in the way. To help with this slide the cover up and either tape it up or wrap rope or use a clamp on the post just below the cover so it can't slide down, my pic shows I used tape. If you are installing in cement use the provided drill bit to drill the holes and tamp in the expansion pipes, then screw the post down using the Hex head screws. If you are installing in wood, DO NOT use the provided drill bit, it is the same size as the Hex head screws and you won't get a good grip (this is probably why some of the reviews felt the screws were loose?). Instead use a 1/4 in drill bit to drill the holes and then use the 14mm wrench to tighten the Hex Head screws down (be sure the post is facing the right direction for the top rail). Remove whatever you used to hold up the cover and slide it down. Attach the top with the provided screws using the Allen wrench. This is sturdy and a simple design that looks good. The one on the front step has been out there for about a year and been exposed to rain, snow, sun, heat and still looks great. It was an affordable investment.

It’s attractive and works very well on our deck. Good quality. It has been installed for a good period of time in humid and rainy Florida weather and has held up very well.

The post and handhold wrought iron are very good. The drill bit and anchors were very flimsy. I purchased better quality lags and sleve anchors and used my own drill bit for installation. Installation went as expected and is sturdy for our one step application.

I was pleasantly surprised, so was my contractor, at the quality for the money. This was exactly as pictured and perfect for what we needed it for. I added the solar light on top of handle! Nice to get good quality and fast delivery.

Product was easy to setup and install in my garage. Biggest problem was drilling the holes in the concrete. But, once I put the sleeves in the drilled holes and started the bolts everything went smoothly from there. The handrail is sturdy and meets the needs of anyone needing support walking down the steps to the garage.

I have one step on my front porch. I had ordered similar railings from a well known hard ware store. Needless to say when they showed up the directions were in friken Chinese and my friend had to go to our Ace hardware and even buy a special drill bit. I told him I’m going to send those railings back and get on Amazon. Well I absolutely love these railings. He adjusted the height. I highly recommend these railings. The directions were in English, no special tools or drill bits needed. USA all the way 🇺🇸

A good rail for the price.

The rail is fine. The hardware is garbage. Not meant for concrete. Drill bit disintegrated after the first hole. Bent two bolt anchors rendering them useless because they were so flimsy. You will need both a proper masonry drill bit and your own anchor bolts to make this abomination function.

This was as advertised. It is simple, decorative and offers support for 2 steps.

We were super pleased with the look and functionality. It’s very attractive and easy to install. Unfortunately the top cracked off one of them within two weeks of installation. The weld was barely attached. I’d like to replace it but not if the seller can’t offer a warranty that covers this type of thing. Buyer beware
