Used this type Carbide Drill Bit, on of the construction jobs I worked at - Amazing, how well they cut and last, even when using on high carbon steel/stainless steel… Only SAFE way to drill holes larger than 1/2, in locations where using a drill press is not possible - Regular bits get hung up, and try to Break arms and wrists…!!! This set, out of many many sets looked at, was the Best Value…

So far I have used the 1-inch (25mm) diameter to cut four holes in 1/2-inch plate steel. It cut like butter on all four only using a punny 6-inch drill press. Be sure to tighten up the guide center bit when using to keep from chattering and hold true to center. Very impressed with the hole saws but they do need a case for storage. Only comes in a cardboard box. For the price ($19.49 on sale), I'm very impressed.

Look these are not top quality bits. If you want to spend $100 and up per bit you can get some. That being said I've been using these for almost 2 years and just now they are chipping off the small worn teeth. The small sizes seemed to wear fast. I've been using them on my mill/drill at 250rpm with coolant. I think that they lasted a while for the money. Overall good investment

In the first hole, the bit failed. The picture shows one of the teeth came off/apart. This was going through a metal stud in a house. Just a thin piece of metal.I shall be returning

I ordered what I believed to be a standard size set. Box is labeled standard, but the bits are metric and labeled metric. I also wish they would have been in some kind of a case not just a cardboard box.
