This is an excellent little device! My cats love it and it ensures they remain hydrated. This is something critically important given that previous cats suffered from kidney issues that we sadly discovered may have in part been due to failure to drink enough water. Be sure to change the filters AND to clean the water intake motor periodically. It will last longer if you develop a routine around this.

There are health benefits to having a water fountain for cats who don't drink a lot! I've grown up around cats for most of my life and they never had a problem drinking water from a bowl. But when I moved out and adopted my first cat ever, I noticed she didn't really like water in her bowl wouldn't drink enough. And so, she became constipated. The vet recommended adding pure pumpkin to her diet (which helped a little) and purchasing a water fountain. At first, I was worried she was terrified of the fountain, but then we saw her drinking out of it. And as a result, she's no longer constipated (yay for a happy cat!).In general, we love this fountain. It's quiet, it's fairly easy to assemble, and has held up for a whole year since we purchased it. No motor issues, no leaks, no filter issues. The only thing that would be nice is if it was easier to clean the inner parts, but the pipe cleaners they include DO help. I've also heard to use filtered water rather than tap to help keep mineral build up from happening.Overall, I recommend and will continue to spoil my cat :)

Ok I got this yesterday so I don't know about how good it is for the long run. I will update my review if more happens. I got this pretty fast after ordering it. And it seemed to be all there. But other reviews state it comes with pad for under it. Mine did not come with a pad. They did reply to my asking about the pad they say i can purchase one. But other reviews state it comes with it. I do see this add for their product now does not state has pad. My fault not theirs. But is very disappointing. And maybe the product did come with it when those people purchased it awhile ago. Wish I had asked before purchasing it. Any extra cost is always disappointing. And while putting together I noticed it wasn't in plastic the whole thing like in other reviews. Plus the filter for the pump was on it already. I only had to open the new filter rinse, rinse whole thing and plug it in. The USB plug did come with the adapter plug for the wall so I didn't need to purchase a new USB adapter, they had sent it in the package. Nice. So now how do I get them to send me the round mat. LOL well I won't be getting the mat through this venue. Anyways my cat seems to be fine with the new way of using a fountain. Her old one was different so she had to learn all over again how to use this one. Be aware of this when getting new things for your furry pets they may or may not adapt to using them unless you encourage it. My cat figured out the new fountain the same day. I replaced it with this one in the same place as her old one. She's pretty easy going with new things. Thanks.

This is the best pet water fountain out there, it's ALL STAINLESS STELL unlike others out there that are part plastic and part stainless, plastic is really bad its known to collect bacteria a lot easier, plus if you already purchasing something like this, that means you really love your pet to another level so order the best, as soon as i opened this product and put it together i fel in love with it, i can't get over how quiet it is, truley ultra quiet, and has a blue light that serves as a night light, and looks very durable, mine came in with couple cosmetic issue but polame customer service took care of the problem immediately, they even texted me first to make sure im happy with my purchase and had no problems and they were very quick in responding, faster than any seller out there, i will definitely recommend this seller and this product to everyone. Its the best, i love it. Oh also i had purchased total of 3 pet water fountains to try them all and see which ones i like best, i swear i didn't even open the other two, im so happy and in love with this POLAME water fountain and love love thier customer care that im keeping this one and returning the other two without opening them. We have a very picky cat when it comes to her food and water bowls. When her previous water bowl was accidentally broken we tried a few that she made known was NOT going to work. This bowl has worked out very well!The pump is just about silent and the water flows quickly over the top without splashing or making a lot of noise. Our cat does not like “ noisey” machines as they are scary, so this has proven to be great for her. The height of the machine is just high enough for our adult cat to drink out of without leaning to far down. Easy to clean and the metal seems to stay clean more efficiently than plastic, etc…materials. Filter comes with it and the filter is available to purchase in a cheap pack on Amazon in the future as needed. The LED light is not a glaring bright thing to disturb humans at night if you have a small space.After typing this review I just realized how much of a picky cat we have and how well trained We are for her. LOL
