Pedialyte Electrolyte Powder Packets, On-the-Go Hydration Pack-18ct

I think everyone should keep at least one of these boxes at home! They last longer and take up less space than bottles of liquid Pedialyte. I keep a few packets in my tote bag just in case. Pedialyte is useful in treating dehydration similar to sports drinks but has fewer grams of sugar, calories, and unhealthy additives than a regular sports drink while still providing more electrolytes. If you’re like me and have a reason to use a lot of Pedialyte, this is the most economical way to buy it and most convenient way to store it. The powder dissolves easily when stirred or shaken and tastes great. It’s extremely important to use the exact volume of liquid described in the instructions so I measured out this exact volume in a beaker and then poured it into several reusable bottles and made a permanent mark at that level. This is fairly high quality: I’ve never seen it clump up before opening or leave a sludge at the bottom the way Gatorade powder does. This would be a great thing for anyone to stock up on because it meets such a universal need. Overall, an awesome product!

My kids love these and feel like they are drinking something special. Perfect size to throw in a purse or lunch bag or glove box for easy hydration.

Individual packets are great ….. seems like everyone needs one and I end up giving them away to family or whoever else crosses the threshold with energy needs or oncoming colds etc.

I feel like the taste of these are much better than liquid IV. I brought to a wedding that a lot of us were staying at a hotel after knowing a bunch of us including myself would be hungover the day after. One person had liquid IVs and I had strawberry lemonade pedialyte. Not one person could drink the liquid IV stating it tasted like medicine. The pedialyte actually tastes really good and is enjoyable. (I like it most really cold so usually I shake it in a water bottle so it mixes well and pour it over ice). It also works really well. It’s not a hangover cure but it does help with relief. Then a few weeks later me and my partner both got sick and had fevers and drank quite a few of these and they helped us feel better then too. I read online that pedialyte is also better than liquid IV for dehydration and that doctors typically recommend it. It also doesn’t leave any powder at the bottom and mixes well. If it wasn’t so expensive I would probably drink it more then just when I’m not feeling well (reason for 4 stars - expensive) as this flavor is very enjoyable and you can see/feel a clear difference when dehydrated.

How did me get back on my feet after I got really sick abd was severly dehydrated !

I grew up with Ulcerative Colitis, and I was constantly dehydrated. This stuff saved me. I couldn’t even drink more than a sip of water during my flair ups. The ability to even sip this a bit at a time helped keep me out of the hospital. As I got older and healthier, this was my go-to for recovering from late nights during college. Now, as a young adult, I always have at least one of these packets with me - to me, it’s just like having a granola bar handy. I even bring a few with me for when I travel and that’s saved me from food poisoning a few times as well. It’s easy to forget to drink enough water throughout the day, and where I’m from, it’s easy to get dehydrated when it’s 105+ outside. Feeling too hot, and need to recover quickly? I’ll tear one open while I’m between appointments, and throw it in my water bottle. It’s even come in handy when I’ve had to work unexpectedly late. Sometimes, I drink one during my workout - open it up, dump it into my water bottle, and shake it. It’s not going to get you all jacked up like a preworkout, but you’ll notice you have more energy and stamina. One consideration though- make sure you read the instructions and be aware of your overall sodium intake throughout the day - this applies to all other brands as well. This one specifically is my favorite flavor, and I keep a couple of backup liquid pedialyte readily available as well.
