Works great, it just has a little bit of a hard time tracking me.

I love this little robot. It connects to my phone and tracks my movement as I give presentations. The marker that comes with it allows me to skip between slides I use to present, and serves as a microphone to record my speech. I highly recommend this for any educator who wants to effortlessly record their lectures or presentations.

I now have two Swivls with markers that just don't work. The markers don't charge and the lights don't come on and it doesn't work and it comes with NO directions, so all of the directions need to be figured out on-line and there is no available customer service. All I can determine at this point is that it is definitely not user error and is a mechanical problem. I've narrowed it down by swapping components on both... not the base, not the charger.... the marker. I'll have to return them both again. I don't know if I'll bother to start over. It's a great idea, but wherever it is made --- something isn't made well. Another FYI is that even without the functioning marker, I tried to record anyway and ended up with a very important video with absolutely no sound. This is not idiot proof, does not have any readily available support and it apparently is not made well. One... it's a fluke. Two.... it's not designed well.

When recording with my Samsung S7, there was a 14 second delay between my audio and my video. After contacting Swivl, I was told that i need an older device, one that runs Android 6 or 7. I have an old Samsung s4 but it ran Android 5 and did not connect at all. When I use my s7, which has android 8, there is that delay. I now have to find another method to rerecord for my edTPA. I contacted Swivl again, asking if I could get access to the app needed to use a Microsoft surface. I have a surface pro3 and the new surface pro (5). Neither computer would connect. Swivl tech support was fast in responding to my questions but unfortunately they are still working on the android problem and should have a patch in the next few months. I have used a different model of Swivl i had borrowed from the school district that worked wonderfully. I am very disappointed with this purchase. UPDATE: I was able to return my swivl for a refund. Both Amazon and swivl were very cooperative and expedient with getting my request processed. I increased my star rating because of the excellent service I received. I feel that swivl makes an excellent, well built product if the proper recording device is used (the device from the district worked flawlessly) and I hope they are able to keep up with the ever changing tech programing.

TERRIBLE product. I bought this product to help me with teaching, and also to help my speech & debate students hone their public speaking skills. the problem with this it has a mind of its own. In the middle of a speech the thing turns around and faces the wall, shuts off, pans the ceiling, pants the floor. Anything but film the person who is wearing the tracker/mic so that they can be filmed. Terrible. terrible product. waste of money and time. now I'm stuck with the most expensive paper weight.

Maybe mine is just defective but it won't track us unless the remote is within 2 feet (not kidding) of the unit. Tracking speed is slow and the unit often moves back and forth even when you're standing still. Tried calling Swivl support but they are not open on weekends or evenings.

I purchased a refurbished Swivel.....well it still does NOT work!
