Hanes Men's Max Crew Socks 6 Pack

Thinner than previous Hanes socks and shorter in length than my last hanes crew socks, but acceptable ( just)

I've bought Hanes sport socks for absolutely years, and always found them to be extremely comfortable and good value for money, until now, that is. These particular Hanes socks are incredibly tight and uncomfortable to the point of discomfort. They're very elasticated, more than I've ever seen hitherto, and this is the entire problem. They're definitely not sized for the average adult leg.

Amazon, you guys need to check all these reviews. I refuse to believe someone would give these socks more that 0.5 stars considering that start decomposing as soon as you pulled them on. This is a picture I took after just putting them on while at home and wearing them for 2/3 hours.

Bought the 6 pack size 12-14. These are barely able to fit a size 12. I tried them on prior to washing to see if they would shrink in the wash. They did and now they cut off circulation to my feet. Can't wear these and I'm at a loss for what to do next. Order a size 16 to fit a 12? What's going on with sock sizes? This is becoming a trend with amazon clothing purchases.
