In the photo you see a little hole. And a bumb that is the part that, goes in your ear. The biger round or, ovel part, goes in the top part of your ear. Once you get it in your ear they are very comfy.if you get water in, or A round your ear the little hole will drain the water out. They were designed by a ear doctor that surfed. Get the right size. I wear med, i have been wearing them since 1980s for surfing.
