White Elephant 45 Filters x 6mm Active Charcoal Pipe Filter from Germany

These 6mm filters are just a hair thinner than other more expensive filters of same size. They tend to fit the Missouri Meerschaum filtered pipes better. They slide in and don't get jammed up when wet. They fit the Savinelli pipes as well.

These filters fit GREAT in my Savinelli briar root pipe. Instructions on the box clearly state that a slow draw is best, and it truly is, making the smoke smooth, cool, and very enjoyable! I don't think I've ever enjoyed my pipe THIS much! I highly recommend these filters!

I have a Rossi 6mm filter pipe and normally use the triangle-shape balsa filters. I usually smoke 1/3 to 1/2 bowls, good for about an hour of thinking. They do good enough at absorbing moisture, especially for the wetter blends, but figured that I'd try these to see how they went. They really do a great job at cutting back on harshness and bitterness and once you get used to the draw you find that you don't have to pack quite as tightly at the bottom of the bowl. That said, they do pull out a bunch of flavors from black cavendish and some from sweet virginias (those have been the only two I've tried this far). I noticed that I had a tendency to get the pipe hotter the first time I tried one, but once the draw became familiar is was easier to keep a cooler coal. Honestly, I think these things work well enough that you could unconsciously inhale if you were not paying much attention -- it's that much smoothness. I don't know if I'll use these for every blend, but they may be just the thing for more harsh and peppery tobaccos that I can just barely accommodate. Further experimentation is needed. Overall a good value, but still a noticeable reduction in flavor over balsa or no filter at all.

The draw is way to tight it’s like sucking through a bent straw I can’t even enjoy my pipe with it.

Fits well and filters well! If you’re doing a comparative search for 6mm filters I would put it way above Dr Grabow pipe filters. I bought both and this one actually filters the smoke. Worth the money because you’ll actually use all of them!

These filters fit Rossi pipes nice and snug, no clunk clunk on the draw, and the extra length isn't a problem.

I'm using these 6mm charcoal filters in 2 Savinelli KS (673 and 622) pipes. In both cases, they are too long for the stem and when seated, they are compressed. With my 673, I can't fully seat the tenon on the mortise. In either case, the draw is significantly reduced. I'm a bit disappointed as I was looking forward to using charcoal filters with both of these pipes and now I'm relegated to balsa wood or paper. Unclear to me which make of pipe these fit.

Used it every bowl of tobacco it’s very efficient in absorbing any juices from tobacco leaving you a good pleasurable smoke at least 2 bowls of tobacco
