Is this pick thick/hard enought for bass? Thanks.

Yes you could play bass with them . I would find them a bit small. I prefer a wider pick for bass myself

What thickness are these picks?

the product details state that I need a pair of AA batteries for this product. where do they go?

Plectrums are thick but were not suitable for me as I needed one that I could grip and was flexible. It may be ok for a bass guitar but as I have never played base I cannot honestly say. I did try out the battery idea and it fitted nicely into the packaging with the plectrums but did not seem to do anything. I spent many hours trying to insert the battery into the plectrum but to no avail. In the end rather than throw the battery away I inserted it into a clock, and it works just fine. Just had a thought could the description be at fault!!!!
