Quality workout gear - Stupendous bargain!
I don't dance. I was looking for some affordable tops to wear while doing yoga and I was hoping to find something that would stay put - i.e. not ride up! Then I remembered leotards and a quick search on Amazon found me this pretty little number. Miraculously, there was one in my size (Large) in a color I love (Aqua) and it was a paltry $4.06 (Add-on to the order I had to make for dog treats and supplements anyway).Danskin is a brand I know despite not being a dancer. I remembered good things about it from the few times I needed leotards for things while in grade school. But at the $4 mark, I don't know if I simply wasn't expecting much, but this has surpassed my expectations by far.The fabric is lovely. It's a lovely color for sure, one which I will be happy to wear as it is tranquil and looks nice on my pale skin, but moreover the fabric is quality. It's thick, but soft and stretchy. The stitching, seams and piecework appear to be well done. The details at the neck and back are pretty and, again, well done.Considering I am not wearing size small anymore, this is a very flattering leotard. It's a little more revealing than I was expecting - as happens when your bust-line is not a 32A/B like the model - but that said, I wear this with a sports bra despite the fairly decent little shelf bra. I might have been able to get away with the shelf bra alone if the top didn't have such a low dip, which caused them to be unable to attach a full bra band, but as it is my 36C bust needs a real bra. And that gives me a little coverage in the front and the back which I need for support while doing mat poses, while this fabulous little leotard stays in place instead of riding up like my other workout tops. Yay!!Aside from workouts this top is pretty enough that I feel like I could maybe wear a layered-looking bralette that covers some of the cleavage, then top it with a light button-up blouse or a cardi and look really cute for a casual outing. I have yet to do this, but maybe on the next warm day!Oh, and I am 36C, 150lbs, usually wear 10 or 12 and the Large fits comfortably, if being a tad revealing on the bustline without extra coverage from another bra. Though, to be fair and honest, I tend to be pretty modest with my clothes preferring subtle looks to overt exposure.I am not sure what the MSRP is, but getting this item for $4 at the quality it exudes makes me feel like I got it for 80-90% off. And I truly cannot complain about that. I can only be sad that all they had at that price-range was the aqua, but I don't need a wardrobe of these anyway. That said, I plan to keep my eyes peeled for deals like this one, because if one is patient - and perhaps a little lucky - one can really save some $ workout gear shopping with Amazon.Hope this review helps someone and best of luck to you all. :-)

nice leotard!
Of the many leotards I have tried as an adult (attempting to find one that works with my adult body), this is the best: The low-cut front v-neck is flattering but not inappropriate for a dance class, the back is scooped low which makes it feminine and not like a child's leotard, the straps are adjustable, and the legs are cut high enough but not too high. Note that Danskin brand fits a bit larger than Capezio, so if you find that your Capezio leotards were tight (whether because of size OR because you are taller than average/longer-waisted), do NOT size up on Danskin products. This fabric is more shiny/stretchy than my 100% cotton Capezio leotard, but I don't mind that because 1) it doesn't shrink and 2) the color doesn't fade. Overall, this is my favorite leotard for ballet/modern/whatever.

My favorite leotard!
I love this leotard so much that I have ordered it in many colors. Iām 5ā11ā and a size 2. Both the small and the medium fit well with the medium being slightly large in the chest area. I usually wear a medium so I would say that this leotard runs slightly large. If you are small chested, I would recommend sizing down.

Great quality, nice style
I've found Danskin's leotards to fit differently depending on material. This one fits a little large. It has a wide elastic under the shelf bra for support and is very comfortable. Depending how where you need to adjust the straps, the sliders can be uncomfortable and the straps can twist a bit. I finally found the right spot for both and no longer have a problem. This leotard is very comfortable and wears great. I have a black one that I've work frequently and the color has not faded after a year. The dusky violet is a muted purple and looks nice. The styling of this leotard is very flattering. Expect the seams on the side to fall in from the hip and not exactly on the sides as they are not meant to be straight. I think this is a nice detail. I bought this one based on the high quality of the one I previously owned and have had no issues with this one either.

a little low-cut but very elegant
I have a long torso (60" girth) with P measurements, and I hate sizing up because the larger sizes are not supportive in the top AND don't suck in my fat! I took the other reviewer's advice about not ordering up and she was right! It is a bit low in the front and the legs are cut a bit high for me (they are cut differently than I'm used to, it's not just because of my long torso), but I love the fabric and always wear a skirt over it anyway. I ordered the black and the pink and they are both lovely. My problem with Danskin leotards is the poor bra support (I am a 30D, much smaller than it sounds), which seems to stem from a combination of a flimsy shelf bra and the leotards being cut a kind of large in the bust. This one has a much better bra lining (a thicker band of elastic) than the others I ordered. It is cut a tiny bit wide in the top, and I would probably not wear it if I would be jumping around a lot, but it's good enough for my purposes. It looks superb!

Finally, I've found you!
I have to admit that I did not where this for ballet. I took ballet for years until I graduated from HS, and let's just say it's been a minute since then. I purchased this because I have been searching high and low for a tank or bodysuit w/a really low back. I could not find one in fashion stores and finally thought to look for an actual ballet leotard, duh! It's perfect, great fit, high quality. I get tons of compliments and plan on wearing it for years! I like it soooo much that I think I am actually going to start taking adult ballet classes for an excuse to wear leotards and tights again. I love ballet gear!

but it has adjustable straps which make it good enough and what I would expect for an adult ...
I am 5'3 and 96 pounds and this leo is a tiny bit big for me, but it has adjustable straps which make it good enough and what I would expect for an adult small. Quality is good, I think it will last. Not quite as attractive as the photo makes it look. But good enough for my ballet classes.

very sleek
Very sleek. Obviously, since the back is open, the shelf bra isn't extremely supportive, but the adjustable straps really help and there is plenty of room. I have a longer torso, but I ordered a small so that it would be a little more supportive and snug, and I'm glad I did. Definitely order your regular clothing size. I am 5'6", 125lbs, 32D, and the small fits nice and snug but still comfortable. The material is really stretchy!
